One of my "go to" hotels when traveling to SF for work. It's easy to walk to the financial district, and the Embarcadero. Lots of restaurants around. Staff is friendly, rooms are big. The gym is a small but sufficient, I do miss the mint wet cold towels. The bed didn't have a sheet, only the feather comforter, which I thought was odd. I never asked for a sheet but I'm sure they would have given me one.

Just spent 3 nights at Le Meridien San Francisico
This hotel has to have the most helpful friendlies staff I have ever met. They gave us just the right attention and were most helpful with reservations and ideas during our stay.

We were on the 22nd floor in room 2215 which has partial bay views but was quiet and spotless at all times.
Whilst there is complimentary coffee on the 3rd floor I found the lack of coffee in the room a tad frustrating and the hotel may wish to change this.
Otherwise a flawless stay

Room Tip: High floor partial bay views

We booked our room the day before on Hotwire and got a great deal!!! We got to the hotel 3 hrs before check in and asked if they would hold our bags for awhile and to our surprise they had our room ready:) we were on the top floor with a beautiful view! We could walk wherever we wanted in San Francisco. We took the night tour of Alcatraz and walked back to the hotel with no problem. We got back late and didn't want to go out to eat so I called concierge, Laura, and she was very helpful. She told us we could order food on the website grub hub and they would deliver to our room... So easy. Check out was awesome also. They did hold our bags so we could go eat and come back later. Overall we were very happy!

We spent our 4th of July week-end in SF. Hotel is a typical business hotel so we could get good deal for this long holiday week-end (still 220USD/night but hey this is SF!). The location is just great. You can easily walk to union square or the pier area.
Check in and out was just quick and friendly. Also the concierge was very helpful to give us map and some directions.
Rooms are typical size for this type of hotel and we were happy with our complimentary upgrade due to my SPG status. View was just amazing from 21th floor, looking over the bay area.
Beds were very comfortable and slept very well (or was this due to the biking during the day?).

Be aware as you are in a business district a lot of the local coffee shops are closed in the weekend (only Starbucks across the street is open 7/7, Peet Coffee was closed and also the bakery across was closed for week-end).
We took a cab for all our dinners and again due to location easy short rides.
So overall great experience and no complaints!

Room Tip: The higher the floor, the better the view. Ask for Bay view rooms

For under 200 bucks/night, it was a pretty good value. Just nothing to write home about. The location was convenient. The staff was polite. The free Illy coffee was actually pretty good compared to most hotel coffee. However, I think the rooms were more comparable to the 3 or 3.5 star hotels I've booked on the travel sites - that is, a little dated in appearance, a little bit worn, and some quirks to the layout. The first room was a handicapped accessible unit, which was all that they had left when we arrived due to routine overbooking. That room had a sliding bathroom door that wouldn't close all the way. After some cajoling, they moved us to a larger room with a separate shower and tub -- but the shower had a cheap plastic curtain instead of a door. The fixtures in both were a little cheap/dated - e.g. a cheaper granite like I saw in a Motel 6 once, and flecked marble flooring. The carpet was dark in color, rather than bright and cheerful. The common areas of the hotel had some funky smell to them.

The lobby music was also a bit quirky. Sort of a trance music, playing 24 hours in the elevators and toward the dining area. People commented that the music was a bit too loud first thing in the morning, though probably would have been more appropriate around happy hour.

The bar and restaurant area downstairs was comfortable and pleasant. We had a few drinks and light meals there. Service was good and food seemed fresh.

The location was an easy walk to places like Chinatown, Little Italy, and the shopping area.

The parking was expensive.

Room Tip: Arrive early, even if you have a reservation, because apparently they overbook.

Green Features: Typical. Meaning you don't get many towels, and you have to throw them on the floor if you want fresh ones the next day.

Great location, friendly welcome, comfortable beds, and an updated bathroom all make this hotel a winner. The huge windows actually open a little to allow fresh air in, even on the upper floors. Special thanks to Jossia at the front desk for giving us a beautiful room at the last minute.
