We are locals and got a great deal on Expedia mobile at the last minute. The location is perfect for exploring the city. The rooms are large and comfy with plenty of space. Easy access to Bart as well.

This hotel is very swanky and in a great location downtown. The hotel offers easy access to many local attractions in San Fran. Check-in was seamless and easy and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was very quiet at night which is a huge plus for those of us that value our sleep. The beds are comfortable and the rooms “appear” to be clean at first glance. However, it has its flaws. The hotel could benefit from a much needed quality check. Upon arrival, our beds appeared to have been rolled in….very lumpy dumpy looking and the mattress was exposed due to the maid not making up the beds properly. The beds were missing the flat sheet; the hotel immediately took care of that issue. The amount of hair that was in our “cleaned” room was disgusting. We spent the first 30 minutes cleaning before we felt comfortable!

I would give Le Meridien another chance in hopes that the minor issues experienced, don’t happen again!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the higher floors.

Wifeypie and I used to frequent this location when it was the Hyatt, AND LOVED IT! Alas, a few years ago it became Le Meridien, and down she tumbled. It was truly sad. They wrapped the windows in blue and red film, so that the magnificent views of the bay were tainted. Who thought that up? The place was run down and we vowed never to return. Well, we broke that vow and are here again after reading the positive reviews. FANTASTIQUE!

The lobby and bar have been redone, in a pretty excellent fashion. Check-in took less than a minute, and it was nice to see one of the concierges from the Hyatt still with the property. Our room is the same configuration as when it was the Hyatt, but has been brought back to the Hyatt luster. No coffee maker in the room but simply request one and it will be provided!

We have broken our vow and are super glad we did! THANK YOU LE MERIDIEN!

Humbly submitted,

Moi

We stayed at the Le Meridien over a long weekend at the beginning of August. Very convenient to the financial district where my wife had a conference. Close to great dining, shopping and sight-seeing, like Chinatown, North Beach and the Embarcadero. The hotel is a very good property. Most rooms have an interesting view, decent size and very clean. Nice furnishings. Room service was also very good. No free wifi in the rooms is a real negative. Bar is lively, good happy hour and light menu. We did not try the main restaurant for a meal, why would you? This is San Francisco. They did offer free coffee service in the main dining room which was good. The hotel is proud of a music playlist called LM100 which is piped into the public area and elevators. Lounge music 24/7. Bring your NQ headphones for a good test, wish I had.

Room Tip: See if you can get a room with a view of the Embarcadero. Very pretty.

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks and the room was a nice and spacious corner room with seating area & nice views. Lovely staff and modern facilities. A very handy location for the financial district, obviously a lot closes in this area at night but there's still plenty close by. The only fault we found were thin walls which only bothered us one weekend when there were a lot of kids in partying

Located in the financial district we had no problems getting around. Walking distance to the Ferry Building, which is a great place to grab a quick bite, people watch or shop in one of the many specialty shops. The Hotel was welcoming and the staff was great. Our room was fabulous, we had two queen size beds with a beautiful sofa seating area. The bathroom was immaculate , which s always a plus. The only downfall was the bed linens seemed short and slippery. Always falling off the bed. It was not enough to deter us from coming back, because everything else was fabulous.

I went with trip advisor's rating and this hotel did not disappoint. Very animated lobby, and Bar 333 at the same floor. The price was .... very much in line with San Francisco's prices. Valet parking same sticker shock pricing but the paid parking right across the street wasn't any better( only $15 difference) and I preferred to have the piece of mind. One day walking towards the Ferry building from the hotel ( only a 7 min walk) someone was running after a rubber that picked his phone. I was very careful with my purse after that. Coming back to the hotel, very very friendly staff and willing to help every step of the way. I rented a bike from California street (5 min walk) and came back too late for a return that evening, the reception staff said I can take the bike into the room no problem. The room was clean, very nice view, upscale restaurants within 3-7 min walk. Great location, I would definitely pick this location again vs fisherman's wharf - which I found very very crowded.
