Good business hotel. Great if attending conference at Moscone Center. Doesn't get as crowded or crazy as some of the party hotels (e.g. W). Quite rooms. Friendly staff. Lot's of space for impromptu meetings in and around the lobby.

Dear chewish,

Thank you kindly for your review! When we re-designed our lobby we made sure to include "chill zones" that are perfect for impromptu meetings with tables, comfortable seating, plentiful power sources and free Wi-Fi not to mention a Starbucks and our Bin 55 bar.

Thanks again for mentioning our "chill zones" and for choosing the Marriott Marquis.

We've stayed at this signature property several times and are still impressed with its friendly and professional service.
This is one well run operation and the staff is trained to be accommodating and pleasant no matter what the circumstances.
This site should be used as a training hotel for other hotel properties. Tye marriott - Ritz Carlton system just keeps us coming back.

I enjoyed mybrief visit and loved the staff's receptiveness to questions. Since I had not previously experienced San Francisco on foot, I appreciated the staff for helping me. It was a flawless trip--highly recommend this hotel if you need access to the entire city. I loved my city view at night.

Room Tip: get a city view if possible

Spent the week of March 24 - 29th at the Marriott Marquis SF for a conference. Stayed here last year for the same conference and had such a great stay that I opted to stay here again. And again, it was an excellent experience. From location to amenities (Starbucks in the lobby is open EARLY!), this hotel is first rate.

This hotel has it figured out - no matter how busy, no matter how chaotic, the staff at this Marriott is professional, helpful and pleasant. We stayed in a newly renovated room and enjoyed it very much. Housekeeping kept the place spotless, room service was perfectly delivered, and the bank of elevators means no waiting. Ever.

I can't find any fault with my stay at this Marriott and am happy to recommend it. As I said a year ago - stay here. You won't be sorry!

Needed to be in SF for meeting at the Moscone. The hotel was a couple of blocks away. Very convenient and would stay there again. Usual staples in hotel, including Starbucks and small fitness center. Near Market Street. Too far to walk to Chinatown but ample local restaurants

This hotel was nice and centrally located in downtown San Francisco. The downside is unless you want to pay an exorbitant rate, you will be parking offsite. Valet was a must if you wanted to park onsite. No extra amenities were included with the room, the big one is paying extra for WiFi which in this day and age should be included. Bed was comfy, room was clean, hotel is nice. Just don't look for any extras

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the bay

Stayed here on 1st of April. At checkin was told I would go wow when I opened the door to the room. He was not wrong, I was upgraded from a guest room to a presidential suite on the 33rd floor. A sitting room, dinning room, bar, two balconies, one on either side of the sitting room. Then a whirlpool bath, walk in wardrobe. Even in a mini bar which is unusual in a marriott. As a gold member access to the lounge which had a great selection of nimbles, beer and wine. The bar on the 39th floor is great for amazing views. The hotel is in a great location to explore San Francisco. The upgrade really made my stay but the hotel was good even without the upgrade.
