Stayed in posher places but this has a no nonsense attitude I love. Second stay here. Very clean, slept well, Free parking, and even tho checkout is 11 they let you stay parked there till three. Stayed also at the Argonaut and preferred this in many ways. Didn't feel like they we're trying to screw you! As many TV channels as the Argonaut, free WiFi, free parking, better location. Just don't expect frills

The hotel is a little dated and probably in need of a revamp. But you can not beat the location, and was well priced compared to others in the area. The room had everything you need and was clean just a little bit old. It was quite noisy at night but that is due to the fact you are right where the action is all taking place. Great to have free secure parking and even let us keep it parked there until 2pm when we finally left town. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is located right at Fishermans Wharf and close to public transport to get around the rest of the city.
Over all a great and affordable place to stay for a couple of night stopover in San Francisco

The hotel is only half a block from all the action on the wharf and parking is free. Beyond that, you get nothing but the essentials: a small room and bathroom. What you don't get: a hair dryer, many tv channels, a tub (shower only) and any other goodies you might expect. Front desk was somewhat helpful. Other reviewers commented on the noise, but we were in the back and it was not noisy.

We stayed here last november and the room was over $100 less per night, and this time we used our AAA discount! It was truly overpriced. We stay for the free parking and location. It is clean enough and our car was safe and we never had to move it the entire weekend. It is fairly noisy as it is located so near the wharf. The selling point for us is location and free parking. We paid nearly $400 for the same room we paid $250 for last year, and I looked ahead to december this year and the prices go down to below $200. The fluctuation in price is the reason we will likely stay elsewhere next time we visit SF. The room is not worth the price, the location is how they get away with it. We probably won't have a 3rd stay here.

Small room. We had 2 x queen beds plus a rollaway for a family of 5. Great location at Fishermans Wharf however it was quite loud on Friday night till late from the street and every morning I was woken by either the rumbling of tourist bus engines or other street noise from 7am and I was using earplugs having read previous reviews. It didn't bother the rest of my family, I am the only light sleeper. The other thing that you should realise is that there is no fridge although you can buy a foam ice chest from the 7Eleven across the street. Definitely overpriced but couldn't find anything cheaper in that location so have to take the good with the bad. Also recommend San Francisco bike rentals to ride across Golden Gate Bridge. Book online for an extra saving.

Room Tip: Top floor room will ensure you don't have people stomping around above you. Can't do much ab...

Stayed 4d3nights in the mini suite, with a decent 2 queen sized bed and a small little corner with tv and a 2 seater couch. Room 322.

Pros:
parking and wifi was free! It's so expensive parking in sf.
Walking distance to the attractions, fisherman's wharf, the beach..
Muni Tram stop is just opposite the wharf inn signage.
Boudin and 7-eleven are just opposite.
Only hotel card can access the elevators and stairs.
Staff was really nice to let us use the micro wave for sterilizing baby milk bottles and pacifier, but the microwave can't be used for food.
They provide warm drinks at the check-in area, although there are no breakfast.

Cons:
The room does not have air-conditioning. Although sf is cold all year round, opening the windows to let cold air into the room actually invite noise from the street too.
The room smelled a little..
There's no bath tub.
The doors are a little haywire, have to always double check if the door got locked properly before leaving for the destination.

Overall I will definitely be back here if I visit San Francisco again! Although some attractions might be far like chinatown and union square, but it's definitely better than driving and looking for a lot. Plus, take it as an exercise to go on the up and down slopes!
