“Come on man!”
Reviewed 10 February 2014

Stayed here for a couple nights. "Grubby" is the word that describes most of it. Will try to attach photos of the bathroom. Never seen a dirtier sink or tub in a hotel. Ice bucket filthy and no plastic liner available. If you try to adjust the shower head it falls off in your hand. Carpet dirty and moldy smelling. Has wooden slat type blinds on the window. Went outside and looked in and could see everything. No privacy. Had 2 parking spots with my room number on them. Room next door had about 6 bass fishermen staying in it. Each had apparently brought a boat so one had his boat backed up down the middle taking up both of mine. Had to park far away. Same guys came in crap-faced drunk at 2:30 am making all kinds of racket. Power went out when too many of them plugged in their battery chargers. Took hours to get it back. TV is a 18 inch computer monitor. Stay in town. Only a few minutes away and much nicer.

Hello there. I remember that weekend well--it will go down in history as possibly the most difficult we've ever had, and I'm sorry you had to experience such a harrowing stay. Our property was built back in 1970, and while that contributes to its structural charm, it can also complicate repairs. The weekend you visited we didn't have a simple power outage, we lost a main fuse for your building that we now know is not easy to find replacements for. (Lesson learned--we bought spares!) We love our fishermen, and we welcome their boats, but we do not knowingly allow them to block the spaces other guests are entitled to. As with all issues, our guests are always welcome to let us know about problems, and we are always happy to do our best to solve them. Finally, about those ice buckets... you were absolutely right. We replaced them all and invested in liners for the new ones. Thank you very much for your feedback.

Dont be fooled by this being called a "resort on the water with a view"! Two women turned down a comfortable hotel for two nights at a fish camp with a bunch of drunk fisherman :( All of the info that you find online saying that there is 24 hour security is B.S. The guy at the front desk was like someone had just dropped him out of the sky. He knew nothing about the property. All he could tell us is that we were in one of the renovated rooms. We got to our room and I came real close to eating my 2 night stay and going to the Holiday Inn Express. The room stunk. There was mold under the kitchen sink. The bathroom was disgusting. We just sucked it up after driving for 10 hours and decided that we could sleep on cement at that point. We hiked the next day and felt the same way and then checked out. The fishermen were harmless, but we were a bit concerned at first. The bartender was cool. I just dont recommend this place unless you are going to the fishing tournament on the lake and need a place to stay, desperately!

Room Tip: Just dont stay there......
