Maggie's was highly recommended by the locals and I can see why. Great dinner and yummy desserts!

We had dinner here in mid May. It was not the busy tourist season, so we were seated right away and had good service. I am not a personal fan of the decorations, but that is ok, it is part of the experience. We thought the food was good, but I would say that they should have brought us a bread plate for the bread they brought (that is kind of picky to notice I guess, but just a service thing I noticed...it was walnut cherry bread, and it was good). We tried to eat here the 2nd night we stayed in Bayfield, but we were too late, they close at 8:00 when it is not tourist season...unfortunetly it was one of the only restaurants open during the time we went, so we had a to search a little to find someplace else to eat.

You have to get used to Maggie's to appreciate it. It's a small town place so you need to time it right. If it's a busy weekend, it fills up fast. Put your name on the list and go for a walk.

The food is simple but well done and their specials are great. Good soups, salads, fish and desserts. Try the whitefish livers. They use fresh ingredients when available-especially berries in the summer.

The flamingo decor is fun and lively. Relax and enjoy the atmosphere.

We stopped in at Maggies for a bite of lunch. I was disappointed with the menu options. Food was okay but nothing to get excited about.

The bartender and server were the rudest! No greeting when we walked in and it was not very busy. So, we seated ourselves. The bartender looked at us and looked the other way. The server ran over and told us we couldn't sit where we chose and had to move. We got up and proceded to another table and she said we couldn't sit there either as there were only two of us. We asked for the manager and were told he wasn't there. (Saturday afternoon???) We decided not to even have coffee at this place. The bartender kept staring at us and didn't crack a smile, the waitress seemed relieved that we chose not to stay. Awful!
SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET A NEW MANAGER IN THIS PLACE! We heard it was one of three restaurants in Bayfield owned by a classy owner who has an extensive background and reputation for food. As we are foodies we really wanted to experience this place. HORRIBLE, spend your time and money somewhere else, don't let this place ruin your vacation, Bayfield is beautiful and has other eateries that are amazing.
