My wife and I stayed at Bayfield's At Ship's Quarters (Jennie E) for our honeymoon. We were Very happy with the trip and the accommodations! Jennie is is a one bedroom suite with a kitchenette (mini fridge and microwave) and a small sitting area. Attached is a master bath with a jacuzzi tub. The suite is a part of a colonial house which has been converted into three separate suites, the Jennie E, Northwoods and Olaf. At first we were slightly concerned about having neighbors in this house, after all we are newlyweds ;) we can't speak for out neighbors but we did not have any disturbances from anyone else staying in the complex. The bathroom does not have a shower, but the jacuzzi has an attachment that serves just as well. One of the things we really enjoyed about our stay was we still had the option for continental breakfast as the Jennie E is managed by the Bayfield Inn. They had a very good breakfast and that helped with our budget honeymoon! In addition, housekeep comes daily providing you with fresh towels and clean sheets, etc. Everything in Bayfield was within walking distance from the Jennie E. We did not need to use our car hardly at all. Perfect place for the two of us!

My new husband and I stayed at Ships Quarters Jenny E room for our honeymoon in August, 2006. I found it on the internet and was impressed at the photos and reasonable price. (around 100 a night, reasonable for the area) We were married in Two Harbors and were told by management that a key would be waiting for us upon our arrival. To our disappointment we were locked out of the room and had to go through quite a wild goose chase to obtain a key. We ended up driving to the management property in order to pick up our key due to a mix up with the property manager. Not a big deal, but we were exhaused and it wasn't an ideal way to start our stay.
That being said, we were thrilled with the room. It was clean with a very nice four poster bed right in front of the fireplace...so comfey I didn't want to get up! The room was clean and neat and had a nice size bathroom that was also spotless with a whirlpool tub. It is important to note that this is NOT a bed an breakfast, as the price reflects. However, the room does have a microwave and little fridge, which came in handy for us. The property is also
located right in downtown Bayfield and perfect stroll to the ferry.

While in Bayfield, we ate wonderful LARGE breakfasts at the Egg Toss, which I recommend. We also splurged on dinner at the RIttenhouse Inn. Yes, it was expensive for sure, but the five course meal was a treat...and the food was excellent! When we were eating, I was so happy that we didn't book a room there...it was so crowded! We definately made the right decision staying in the Jenny E. We also took in a show at the Big Top (great live entertainment, but an older crowd for sure!) and spend tons of time on the islands. All around a perfect honeymoon and I would highly recommend the Jenny E to any couple who is staying on a budget but still wants a clean, centrally located room that is ROMANTIC. Thumbs up!

We arrived in Bayfield not knowing what to expect. We found the Carriage House that is attached to Hendrickson House was available and at a relatively reasonable price ($109 for a Wednesday night which for Bayfield is about average). The carriage house was originally a garage that has been beautifully converted to a B&B type accommodation. There is a living room with TV and VCR and a very nice bedroom on the main floor. There is a lower level that has a full kitchen with range, fridge, etc. Also the bathroom is on the lower level. New hardwood floors are on the upper floor and a very nice finished stone floor on the lower level. There is parking right outside the front door and there is a back door as well. The unit is in excellent condition and virtually everything has been thought of for your comfort.
