Clean, decent-sized room (14), perfectly located, among least-expensive places in town. Couldn't ask for much more for the price. Wi-fi was all but unusable and A/C was loud, but those things are far outweighed by the good.

My husband and another couple stayed in room 8A this past weekend and loved it. The room was very spacious and very adequate for two couples. Everything was clean and looked new and fresh, and the view of the harbor was great. We were within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. We had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot and everything else we needed. The beds - a king and a queen - were very comfortable. Our only complaint is that in order to use wifi, you have to go outside on the porch or sit in the office, but that wasn't a big deal for us. The people working there were very friendly and accommodating, both when I called to make the reservation and while we were there. All in all, it was a great place to stay, and we would definitely stay there again.

Room tip: Unit 8A is a good choice for two couples or for a family with a couple of kids, because it is roomy and has two separate sleeping areas, as well as a refrigerator, microwave and bar sink. It also has lots of natural light and a great view of the harbor.

We stayed in room 4 about 5 years ago and loved it-very quiet, great location, great price. We stayed there again last weekend, and nothing has changed! Still very quiet-all rooms on the second floor were full and we could not hear our neighbors at all (not tv noise, water, or antthing else you might be able to hear). Same service, and great pricing.

Room tip: The rooms in the house are very quiet.

Nice quaint place that is clean but very tiny. Asked for a king room but was told only queens were left, ok sure we'll take it. Got to our room only to find out it was a full size bed. Free wifi available, but you have to sit on porch in front of office to use it. No in room microwave or refrigerator. No pool hot tub etc.Thought the $118 a night price was a bit much for zero amenities. The receptionist (Kim) that checked us in was very friendly.

Directly across from the Ferry to Madeline Island, so just a short walk or the perfect spot to sit in one of their Adirondack chairs on the lawn by one of the flower gardens.

No need to look for parking when on your summer visit to this favorite destination on Lake Superior as shopping, dining and sightseeing are all just a block or two or three away.

Rooms are very basic with no frills. Brightly painted with a nautical theme, but with so much to see and do nearby in Bayfield you won't be spending much time in your room. Remember you are on vacation, so you don't really need all the comforts of home.
