“Quiet, beautiful, renewing”
Reviewed 13 August 2012

We loved our too short stay at The Artesian House. It is a 5 minute drive outside Bayfield, set in the woods. It is very quiet. No traffic noise or loud guests.

The rooms were spotless. I appreciated their beautiful simplicity compared to many overdone Victorian B&Bs.

The breakfast was nourishing and delicious. Hosts,Al and Chana, were very welcoming. I'd highly recommend The Artesian House. The price is very good, compared to louder, busier, more touristy places in Bayfield.

This place is a gem! It's located in the woods just outside of Bayfield. We enjoyed the thoughtfully planned spaces. The rooms were lovely and each had their own deck entrance. The common area had an interesting collection of books, CDs, and games to enjoy. Al, the owner is most interesting and welcoming. Breakfasts were delicious and included locally-produced items on the menu. We came on motorcycle and the gravel driveway was no problem for us.

We enjoy the Bayfield area and have stayed in quite a few of the properties in the area. How we missed this one is beyond me.
All the rooms (4) are the same size but each is decorated differently. They all have outside entrances and all are connected to the great room where entertainment and breakfast is located. There is NO television. This is a place to relax not a place to watch stock reports. You may even have to talk to each other shocking though that thought may be. If you have never been to Bayfield before, talk to AL the owner. He is a wealth of information as well as a really nice person. The beds are comfortable, the company is exceptional and the area is Outstanding. No down side here.

Secluded, wooded location. Close to Bayfield. Lovely, contemporary building built to be a B&B, not a retrofit. Rooms are modern, clean, private, comfortable and well appointed. The host is a great guy. The breakfast was delicious. Would definitely return. Would definitely recommend.

A very warm, inviting and friendly B & B awaits you outside Bayfield, WI. Set inland, surrounded by forest, this B&B will meet your expectations. We stayed in the Green room. Very clean and loved the jacuzzi tub. Extra touches made our stay feel like we were at home. Your host Al is very hospitable, a joy to talk to, and the breafast's are absolutely amazing! He is also very green friendly. Would highly recommennd if you are around the area in the winter or summer.

Artsian House is a unique, quiet country property but close to
Bayfield. The house is contemporary and dramatic with comfortable, private layout yet common central living room
for firplace, reading or conversation. All amenities are provided
and the breakfasts are grand but most of all the stay is built
around the host, Al, who is a kind and gracious host who will
attend to your stay and will reward you with his life of learning.
He even packed down the snow on the trail so we could drink from the
artesian well on the property. There is not finer water or a better
stay if you take the time to relax and drink.
