The place packs you in...even the pull-through sites. This was just too close for comfort; in order to uncouple and recouple,we had to hold up traffic, then park our vehicle perpendicular to our camper. We left early in the morning so that we could do this at our own pace. Having said that, the location was perfect for us, since we were planning on seeing the Harper's Ferry and Antietam National Battlefields. There were a lot of things to do for kids, which probably explains the $16 resort fee (even though we used none of those fun things).

Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away in Harpers Ferry KOA. The kids loved the playground, huge trampoline, free pancake breakfast, mini golf, and riding bikes around the area. We just went and it was fairly crowded so I can understand how peak season would be a bit much. The staff was incredibly kind, and even gave us complimentary dog treats for our canine camper. We had a pull thru RV spot without full hook-up and it was large. The hook up spots are pretty close together. Bathrooms are nice with private shower rooms (loved that). Would definitely return.

First things first - the kids loved this campground. So much to do, from the jumpy pillow, to the basketball courts and arcade...Our 11 year old and 10 year old loved the campground. Everyone we dealt with was very nice and accommodating, and you get the feeling that the employees really want you to have a good time. The camp itself needs some updating; the camper spots are pretty close to one another and are not level. The showers are in need of a good remodel and some new shower curtains. That being said, it's obvious they are trying to keep it clean (the bathrooms were pretty much spotless). The pricing isn't too bad, but I wish the resort fee included use of the bikes (8 dollars for 1/2 hour was crazy! Bring your own) and even with the pool closed, our kids did find lots to do at the campground. We also saw employees doing spot checks, driving around, checking on everyone...it added a level of comfort to see that. I'm curious to check out this campground again, in the summer months and use the huge pool. We did have a good time at this KOA - not the best KOA campground we have ever been at, but definitely a good one. Hopefully Corporate will throw some money towards this place!

Room Tip: camper spots are not very level,

We did a Civil War trip and visited lots of battlefields in the area, so this KOA was a great base for Harpers Ferry, Antietam, Monocacy, Gettysburg and Manassas. We had a great stay . It was a lovely area and we could walk to the Harpers Ferry National Historic Park, which we also really enjoyed! Only issue was the change machine in the laundry room was not working, and once we were settled at our RV site we didn't feel like heading back out to get change somewhere else. So we were perturbed about that, but the next morning everyone was so friendly it was hard to be mad at them. They had a roll of quarters for us and we did laundry the next night.

Affordable and gorgeous setting. Great value for families. I rented a deluxe 1 room cabin for myself and my 3 children, which was perfect for us. We stayed 2 nights and went to the pancake breakfast. Very friendly and fun atmosphere.
