“Simply comfortable”

When you walk into an empty cafe in mid-morning, you wonder whether you made a big mistake or you are about to get undivided attention. Luckily for us, we got the good side of the deal. Our breakfasts were carefully prepared. The coffee was great. The service was friendly but not annoying. If you go for breakfast, don't miss the home fried potatoes, made with onions and spices.

As we ate, tables filled. The slow traffic would have been faster if the national parks had been open. The atmosphere is homey, but not cluttered. Good place for sightseers and hikers.

“Walt Okon - Country Cafe for lunch in Harpers Ferry, Virginia”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

Rosie and I went to the Country Cafe for lunch in Harpers Ferry, Virginia. Parking difficult. Service very poor. The waitress did not smile at anyone ever. Food was more expensive then inNorthern Virginia for the same dish. Rosie's chicken sandwich was poor at best. Cafe decorations were very nice. It was an open kitchen so it was loud noise. We will not be going back. Service with a smile is important. Walt Okon,Springfield, Virginia

“Great Breakfast and small town feel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 October 2013 via mobile

Small cafe that is very homey and country feel. Coffee was great, had the western omelet and it was YUMMY. Great prices, maps and books on the wall to look at or view. Friendly servers and very informative about the area. Would totally go again when we come back to area. A+++

“Child's preschool”

My friends and I stopped here in August .....I was shocked to see 2 young ladies acting like children, one was our server! They had the tongs clicking and at the same time were dancing with them! I understand teenagers need jobs but these young ladies were acting like young children! After seeing this, I couldn't enjoy my meal

“Don't be fooled by looks!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2013

From the outside one would think this is a very small crowed place to possibly get a snack or cold drink. WRONG ! This was a delightful experience. There were six of us and arrived right around noon (which is when the menu changes from breakfast to lunch). Of course 3 wanted breakfast and 3 wanted lunch, The waitress advised us this was not a problem and took our orders. The service was excellent, the food was excellent and good sized portions and the prices were reasonable. If you are in the area, don't miss this one.
