We stayed here for one night and wished it had been more.

Hospitality at its very best from our hosts , Jeanette and Jason. We had some difficulty finding the place initially, but the wait was well worth it. Yes it is like a garden oasis in an area of red rocks and spectacular scenery. To provide some geographical perspective , Castle Valley is a small picturesque township about 30-35 minutes from Moab, taking in a very scenic drive alongside the Colorado River.

Yes the scenery and the spectacular scenery of the Cliff Wall just amazing. We dined at a local winery and enjoyed the sunset and the wonderful rich colours.

The superb breakfast out on the back patio was a special surprise.

Our room was comfortable, but in hindsight we should have taken a bungalow.

The clear view of the night sky was just amazing with perfectly clear skies and millions of stars.
The hosts were hospitable and friendly. A good break after various National Park lodges.
We had a very enjoyable stay . Can and do recommend.

Room Tip: If staying beyond one evening spend the money and upgrade to a bungalow.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. We had a wonderful time. Jeanette and Jason, and not to forget Mercedes, made our stay one never to forget. Castle Valley Inn is like an oasis in a breathtaking area. Lea and Hans, The Netherlands.

We arrived on the darkest night into the secluded cabin. The owners waited after hours for us and gave us a warm welcome. We saw the most stars in the sky we ever saw in our lives. Opening up the front door to the cliff wall in the morning was a big surprise. Breakfast was delicious with views of deer foraging in a close distance. We would definitely get in the hot tub under the starry night the next time we visit.

We stayed at the Castle Valley Inn for two nights during a recent visit to Moab. Castle Valley is a very picturesque town located about 30min from Moab on a scenic route that follows the Colorado River. This location can be good for ‘getting away from it all’ but inconvenient for shopping and dining options. The inn itself consists of a main house and several newer bungalows. We got a chance to peek in some of the rooms in the main house and they seemed older and basic. The rooms in the newer bungalows were very spacious and modern. Definitely worth the extra $$ for better rooms which contained a kitchenette and outdoor grill. The grounds were immaculate with an inviting hot tub that makes for a perfect way to wind down at the end of a day. The views of the stars while relaxing in the hot tub were amazing.

On a side note, there is no television service. The rooms were equipped with a dvd player and a library of movies was available in the main house to use. The flat screen tvs, were however, tiny…laptop screen tiny. Internet connection was very spotty as well. Not a big deal, but definitely isolating which can be good or bad depending on your perspective.

Breakfast was on par with other B&Bs at this price point. There are also homemade cookies available in the main house which is another nice touch. The innkeepers were cordial and offered advice of the surrounding area for hiking/biking activities.

We stayed at the Castle Valley Inn in September 2013 and loved it. The setting is spectacular. A high point of my holiday was lying in the hammock looking up at the orange light of the mountains. The family dog lay under the hammock and it was extremely peaceful. I was very sad to leave....
We stayed in the Sommerville Bungalow. This was very comfortable, clean and certainly not a chain hotel. It is a drive to get into Moab but that is not difficult. Perhaps it would have been an issue had we wanted to eat out in the evening. We didn't try the restaurants closer to the Inn - the bungalow's kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed eating on our terrace.
I have already recommended to friends and would make a (long) trip to visit again

Hi Maddy D, Most importantly we would like to sincerely apologize for the experience you had here at the Inn. As you stated, based on our reviews you read, you can see that Jnet and I (as well as our inn sitter) try our hardest to serve everyone equally and give the highest standard of hospitality possible. Again, were sorry you didn't experience that level of service during your visit at the beginning of the off-season. Also, we're sorry you felt that the drive was too far. Many of our guests have commented to us that the drive was one of the highlights of their trip. Our sincere hope is that you would allow us another opportunity, and stay at the Castle Valley Inn next time your in the area.

We were hoping to get into Arches and Canyonlands, but our government couldn't get it's act together. Fortunately, Jason (B&B owner) has a long list of activities that are outside of the parks. We did a couple of beautiful hikes and had a great stay. The B&B is very welcoming, Jeannette and Jason were great hosts and run a beautiful property in the scenic Castle Valley. Mercedes, our breakfast host, was very engaging and gave us great suggestions for our days out. Overall, a great stay.
