“A fantastic day tour in Canyonlands!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014 via mobile

We recently took part at the Canyonlands & Calm Water #6 day tour, organised by Navtec in Moab.
The tour was fantastic. It started in the morning by an almost off-road drive along the rim of the canyon. We were only 4 persons in one car, accompanied by our driver and guide. Beautiful scenery, fantastic photo opportunities, quite adventorous! Our guide and driver was Kevin, a fantastic and highly professional guy, who made our trip perfect and also very enjoyable.

At noon we were dropped off at the river, and we embarked a small boat. We did almost a 17 miles drive down the Colorado river. Again, beautiful scenery, now from a different perspective. We also visite a near the river site with huge petrified logs - very interesting to see. The highlihght was definitely also a pick-nick on the sandy beach of the Colorado river! Our driver and guide for this second part of the tour was Jason. Also a very skilled and professiomal guy, we felt safe all the time, it was adventorous and it made fun to all of us!

A very memorable experience in the Canyonlands, we highly recommend this Navtec tour to everyone: excellent programme, fantastic guides, good organisation!

“Needles Chesler Park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

This is a great trip for a long day. We left at 8 and got home at 7PM. We were a party of six so we ended up splitting into 2 vehicles. Toyotas were late model, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Our guides, Matt, John and Kevin were knowledgeable and looked after each other. At the far end of the trip we stopped for a hike and lunch. Both were excellent additions to the jeep ride. You should note that if you have a bad back you might want to think twice about this as it a pretty bumpy off road adventure but it gets you to some special places you will not otherwise see.

“Cataract Canyon - One Day Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 August 2014

Memories for a lifetime! Fabulous one day trip with Brian down Cataract Canyon with my two teens. Throughout the trip, he was a great wealth of information about the region's history and geography, customizing the day to our family desires, and was just a fun person! At the onset, rafting 100 miles on the river in one day, seemed like a daunting experience, but it was flawless beginning with the Navtec drop in at Potash, to the awaiting vehicle waiting for us at the Lake Powell pullout to shuttle us to the airport for the flight back to Moab, where Navtec once again was there, ready to shuttle us back to town. Definitely would do this again - next time in high water!

“Awesome 1/2 day trip”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

This half day trip was perfect for my teenage son and I. There were just enough little rapids to keep it from getting boring. They fed us a nice lunch and towards the end our guide let those who wanted to "swim" (float down a little ways with just their jackets) do so. All the teens did it and had so much fun. Our guide made us feel super safe. Especially after watching some of the other tours go through the exact same little rapids and end up with half of their group knocked out of the raft. One was even a little old lady. I hope she was ok. She looked scared. But that other tour group obviously did not have guides with the proper experience to keep their rafters safe and in the raft. I would suggest this for a nice, relaxing trip for the whole family.

“Chesler Park 4x4 tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2014

My grown son and I took the Chesler Park 4x4 tour and had a blast. I really chose it because the 4x4 would get us deep into Canyonlands where we'd be able to see things we wouldn't on our own. I hadn't thought through what the 4x4 part would be like but it far exceeded our expectations: it was exciting and a bit scary. I didn't know cars could go where we went or drive the way we drove. The guide, John, was fantastic and we had total confidence in him. He was knowledgeable and interesting. The 3 mile hike out to the base of the needles, through a slot canyon was really fun and incredibly gorgeous. Lunch was good, too. My husband and son hope to go back next summer and do some canyoneering and other adventures with Navtech. I couldn't recommend them more!
