Very clean and very good motel. A good starting point for your tour into Arches NP.

First off, if you're in Moab, you're not looking for sparkles and frills and extravagance. If you're doing Moab right, you're outside playing hard all day and into the night. Once night falls, you're in town getting some ice-cold beer to soothe the sunburn that you inevitably got.

We've stayed at Riverside several times, and I hope it doesn't change. It's just a good, clean, comfortable place to stay.

There is a really decent breakfast and the coffee is better than at most motels. Staff is super-super-super nice. On one of our stays, this past holiday season, we were at the motel on Thanksgiving day. The staff wasn't even grumpy being there on a holiday!

Another thing I love is the laundry. There is a container for change for the washer and dryer, but they aren't coin-operated machines. Lemme tell ya how convenient THAT is! No searching for quarters or going out to the money machine or trying to make change somewhere. Nope. Just put dollar bills or nickels and dimes or quarters in the container and do your laundry. They're so nice, they even provide a large tub of detergent for guests to use at no cost.

**Laundry note -- check the washer and dryer before you put your clothes in. Moab is a very outdoorsey, active place, and all sorts of laundry gets tossed in. Don't be surprised pull your jeans out of the washer and find someone else's red dirt in the pockets.

The only thing I would change about Riverside Inn is the location. It's nice, but not really *in* town. It's just barely outside town, and you could bike it pretty quick. Walking into town would be a but longer than ideal.

The staff is pleasant and the location was perfect for us. We physically drove to 10 other hotel/motels in Moab and inspected their rooms. We settled on Riverside Inn for 2 nights because of it's price as it was the cheapest in town, the large room, and the short drive to Arches and Island in the Sky Canyonlands entrance. The value to us outweighed the lack of a coffeemaker in our room, small fridge (ample for our needs), and the small t.v. There is a microwave in the lobby and we used it a lot which was fine for us.The internet worked perfectly in our room. The hot water for showers/bath was great. There is an outside pool and jacuzzi though we did not use them. We used the low cost laundry facilities as it was much appreciated after a dirty, windy day at Arches. The only problem was the rooms are not built to handle too much noise from neighboring rooms or the hallway. Our first night we had a noisy, large family opposite our room and it was difficult to sleep. The second night was just fine as the adjoining rooms must have been on our sleep schedule of 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.. Continental breakfast was average- english muffins, dry cereal, pastries, orange juice, and thank goodness assorted fruit. We were content with our stay here especially for the value.

Ended up here by accident after another hotel in Moab mixed up my reservation. At only $70/night my expectations weren't high but still I was surprised by the lack of amenities. No coffee maker in the room, no iron or ironing board, and if they had wi-fi it was a well-kept secret. Worst of all, at 7:30am there wasn't any hot water in the shower. When I mentioned this to receptionist at check-out she smiled blandly and thanked me for letting them know, but didn't offer to do anything to make things right.

My husband and I have stayed here several times. I would not stay any place in Moab other than the Riverside Inn. It is not fancy, but serves our needs. The staff have always treated us nice. The Riverside Inn is close to Arches N.P. and Canyonlands N.P.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side are quieter.

Rooms are average/small size. Old small TV. NO COFFE Maker in room! Small mini fridge. Even the phone didn't work. Internet access was OK. Good location for Arches or Canyonlands. Only stayed here because or favorite Super 8 across the street was booked full.
