Had a great 2 night stay in Moab. Hotel was simple and economical. Could have stood to have the hallways vacuumed, but at $65 a night it was worth the no-frills. Free Continental breakfast (cereal, muffins, juice coffee) was a good starter but those looking for heartier fare (read: eggs, bacon, etc ) might want to go out for breakfast. I'd definitely stay again.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. It was much nicer than than we expected for the cost of the room. Very convenient to Arches National Park. Nice breakfast. Plenty of places to eat dinner nearby. We recommend it.

We stayed for three days after getting a great AAA price ($50). The hotel was much better than the price would suggest. Its like a good La Quinta and Hampton Inn establishment. (It probably was a Hampton Inn franchisee before - the towels had the Hampton Inn logo). It was nice, clean and the two gentlemen running the hotel were very helpful in terms of accomodating requests.

Its a small establishment - probably around 45 rooms, with a pool and jacuzzi that looked OK. (didn't get to use them - spent all the time hiking). The room was decent sized, had a king bed, a 19" TV, a small fridge and an AC/Heater unit. The bathrooms were decent sized and clean enough. Location is around 1 mile north of downton Moab (nearer to Arches National Park) - which we liked. Complimentary continental breakfast consisted of three types of cereals, milk, pastries, bagels, white bread, different kinds of spreads and jams, bananas and cantaloupes.

In all, we were happy with the hotel. If you are used to a Westin or Ritz kind of atmosphere, this is not the hotel for you. There are fancier establishments nearby that charge 3 or 4 times more. If you are looking for a simple, clean 2 star La Quinta or Ramada kind of establishment, nothing beats the price of Riverside Inn. Similarly, if you are looking for something within walking distance to all the little shops and restaurants in downtown Moab, this is not for you. But if you have a car and want to spend most of your time in the parks, this is a great hotel.

We specifically requested a room with 2 king beds and were quoted a price (we were told that there is only 1 room in the Riverside Inn with 2 king beds). We called a week before our stay to confirm that we had the room with 2 king beds and also re-confirmed the price.

Upon arrival, we were given a room with 2 queen beds at the same price. We stated that we specifically reserved the room with 2 king beds. The guy at the registration desk was extremely rude and stated that I only reserved a room with 2 beds without specifying size (which was not true). He also said that the guests in the room that I had reserved had decided at the last minute to extend their stay and that there was NOTHING he could do about that. I suggested that he could have told them that he could extend their stay but in a different room because someone had already reserved that specific room ahead of time. I also suggested that he could alternatively take a couple of dollars off the quoted price because I was getting something different than I had asked for. The guy at the registration desk got angry at me for making these suggestions, so I told him that this poor service might be reflected in a review on Trip Advisor. He then shouted at me, tore up my contract, told me to find another hotel, and said that he didn't care about getting a bad review because plenty of other people want to stay at the Riverside Inn.

If you want to be treated with respect and dignity, then you should reconsider whether this is the right hotel for you.

My wife, 3-yr old son and I stayed at the Riverside Inn in Moab
for 3 nights beginning of Sept 2006. We liked the place which was cheap and very functional. The room and bathroom were clean and reasonably big. The breakfast was fine though a very limited choice. Of course, we didn't expect anything more since we paid only about $65 for the room per night.

The hotel is very near the Arches National Park at about 5-6 miles from there and around 4.5 hours from Salt Lake City. It is round 2 miles from downtown Moab which was also convenient. We saw lots of hotels in downtown Moab area when we went there to eat. But we have no idea how good/bad the others are.

We wouldn't mind staying there again.

The Riverside Inn was close to Arches National Park. It was clean and friendly. There is a small, clean pool at the hotel. The breakfast was fine. They served fresh watermelon when we were there. It is a no-frills hotel, but I would go there again. We had a refrigerator in the room. The only thing that we missed was high speed Internet. We really didn't have time for that anyway, so it was fine without it.

We had had a long day, this motel was one of the first we saw driving in from Arches National Park. The staff we all helpful and welcoming. Our room was large and clean. The room rate was very good and included an excellent breakfast. We had intended to stay for two nights but extended to four. The pool is small but clean, plenty of tables and chairs.
