“Not Good”
Reviewed 28 September 2012

So disappointed in this place. The room we had was loud! We heard doors slamming water pipes banging and squeaking. The AC was loud too! The beds and bedding were old and uncomfortable. Bathroom fan wasn't working. The lobby was dark. Not a comfortable stay at all. The atmosphere was horrible. Expensive too! Not worth it.

Thank you for your feedback. We have made improvements since your stay in September 2012. Motel 6 rates are priced below other national brands within each local market. Our rates may be higher than other Motel 6, but it is still lower than other national brands in Moab.

Several years ago when it had just opened, (can't remember what year) we went there for a weekend and it wasn't too bad. We went for one day on Sept 13th and it looked a bit more beat up and can't remember the walls and ceilings being paper thin. My gosh there must have been a "two ton tillie" above us cause every step he or she took read about 7.5 on the richter scale! And guy next to us had some noisy bodily functions! And the rooms are small and the icemaker in the hall didn't work. If you need an iron, you have ask at the desk and they'll lend you one. Oh, and the bathroom fan (if it had one) didn't work. The one good thing I can say, that it seemed to be clean, so thats good, but other than that, eh, I'm trying going to a different place next time. By the way, Moab is a beautiful place, check it out sometime.

We stayed here for two nights as we visited Canyonlands and Arches National parks. The motel was OK. It's at the beginning of Moab, you can get to Arches in 5 minutes. Next to the motel there is a Wendy's restaurant where you can buy good food. The motel also have a small pool which is for bathing but not swimming. The water was sandy so we didn't go in. We also experienced a sandstorm on one of the evenings so I can imagine why the pool was sandy, As far as I remember this is the closest motel to the parks. It takes about 10 minutes to get to a bigger supermarket but a gas station is also next door. We received a coupon with which we could get some discount from our breakfast in one of the pancake restaurant's in the city.

We decided to take a risk. NOT WORTH IT! When we made our reservation early in the day I was told we could have a room on the third floor the pet free option since my daughter has allergies to some pets. When I checked in, we got a room On the second floor. When told her I wanted pet free room, she told me the second floor was also pet free.... So we took the room. The room was clean, but smelt like dog! When came home from dinner there was a dog on the second floor. We will not stay there again.

Cheapest in town, but one can see why. Small rooms, uncomfortable beds and an air conditioning unit that sounds like a jet engine. It rumbles the whole room and really only puts out cold air during the night. With how the room is set up, the fan blows right on your face as you sleep. The hot tub has bubbles, but they come from holes drilled in the seat, so they tickle right up your back-side...not enjoyable. Anyway, it's convenient to Arches NP, which is nice and the staff is friendly.

I was surprised when I entered inside, is it Motel 6? Moab is a very costly area, I booked 3 months before for $70/night and the day when we arrived it was $114 w/o tax. Do an early reservation. In a single word, it's excellent. The Arches NP is 3.5 mile north of the motel. I will strongly suggest everyone to stay here if you are visiting Moab.

Everything you need for a good night sleep in clean and comfortable surroundings. As we entered a guest told us this was the cheapest in town. Not really a problem as the service was excellent, the staff were friendly, it was clean and comfortable and the Moab Diner just along the road was lovely with good food and more friendliness. Would certainly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay again. There may be other hotels with more frills but when on a road trip and taking pot luck we were not disappointed with Motel 6. Thanks guys x
