Five of us visited Moab Utah last week to ride the slickrock trails on our dirt bikes. We needed a clean moderately priced motel in which to stay. Motel 6 was perfect. It was clean, quiet and had everything we needed. The mattresses appeared to be new and were very comfortable although they might be a bit small for couples (they were doubles). That didn't bother us since we had only one person per bed. It appeared that the motel had been renovated recently. The rooms had Pergo floors rather than carpet, but that is ok by me. The shower stalls were new and the tv was a current model HD thin tv. An ice machine was located nearby. The motel had a washer and dryer on the main level which was appreciated after a muddy trail ride. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Motel 6 provided everything we needed at a budget price. It even has a hot tub and swimming pool. I'd stay there again in a minute.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the third floor. It is very quiet there.

This was second Motel 6 this trip. We are 2 for 2 on satisfaction! This motel was clean, quite and pet friendly. We was pleasantly surprised that the rooms were not carpeted, a laminated wood flooring was used. Very impressive! I wish more hotels would do this. If we return to the area again we will be staying here again!

The positive things about the hotel for me were the front desk staff who was very helfull and the price of the room. The negative were: very noisy, broken curtains, no coffee maker in the room, no refrigerator and no macrowave. The room was very impersonal with not a single picture. The room also smelled of paint, apparently they just painted the room.

Thank you for your comments. Motel 6 brand does not offer refrigerator/microwave and coffee maker in rooms. We do offer microwave and free coffee in lobby for all guests to access. Our brand is an economy hotel that keep our rates lowest among all national chains within each local market.

We stayed there during the height of tourist season and I'm ashamed to admit we paid WAY more than what we feel it was worth. We camped the majoriry of the trip but arrived in town very late, unable to set up camp right away as planned and needed a place to stay with little kids and a dog after driving more than 10 hours. To be fair I must mention that the rates of hotels all throughout the town are ridiculously, grossly inflated during this time of year. Expect to pay at minimum $160 a night anywhere during this season... We have been to Moab during "off" seasons and have experienced much more reasonable hotel rates all around. The room was clean and basically okay, but it was BARE BONES minimum basic. There was a bed, shower, toilet, TV and pool (that we didn't use) but not much else. No continental breakfast, not even a coffee pot or toiletries other than bar soap for handwashing. There weren't even pictures on the walls. We stayed at another hotel the last night of our trip for less than we paid here that had way more amenities.

Thank you for your comments. Motel 6 offers the lowest price of national chains in each of its local markets, so although our rates may seem high during high season when compared to some Motel 6 across the country, but it is still lower than any national chain in Moab to still provide good value.

What seemed to be a new building, at least on the exterior. Nice large rooms with ice & soda machines on each floor. A large exterior deck and pool (not heated) and a very relaxing outdoor hot tub that would fit about 10 people. Large towels for the pool area available at the desk. Hair dryers in all rooms and free internet.

Free coffee available in the lobby all day and the rooms were very spacious. This property only offered one washer ($1.50) and one dryer ($1.25) for such a large property. This building does offer one elevator, but it can be a little slow at times. There is ample free parking in the front lot and more space in the rear as well.

In all a nice hotel in a generally good location with friendly staff. No in-room coffee maker, fridge or microwave.

I would certainly visit again when traveling through this area.

Room Tip: I experienced no noise being on the top floor.
