We had a cabin for 3 nights. It was adequate, but basic--no porch furniture, no kitchenette supplies at all (cups, paper towels, coffeemaker). We had to move after we unloaded the first night, as the cleaning had not been finished. When we asked for basic supplies, we were told we could buy them in the little store--felt like a classic nickle-and-dime operation. The pool was the size of a bathtub. We wondered if our expectations were too high--but have had excellent cabin rentals in Utah since then. We expected to like this place, but...

The campground is convenient to Canyonlands, Dead Horse, and Arches. It is about 15 minutes from Moab. There was a very distant view of Arches but other nice scenery is just across the main road. There is a busy road that runs right next to the campground. However, we camped in a 5th wheel and our AC was on. So, it did not really bother us. The restrooms were individual rooms with a shower, toilet, and sink. This was really nice for privacy but they need updating. They also never seemed to have hot or even warm water. The pool was small and cold. Most of the trees in the campground are small. Therefore, they provide little shade. The sites were just a parking lot with a tree in between just like many other campgrounds in the area. There is a decent sized convenient store and gas station at the office. They were overpriced but nice to have if there is desperate need for something. The workers were all very helpful. Wi-Fi was good. We stayed here during the week when it was only about half full. There were not any issues with ATV's like others have complained about. We would probably stay here again.

My family of six stayed here over Spring break and what a let down. On the website is list a pool and shows trees. Well, the pool is old, run-down and NOT open until May. Every other pool in town was open when we begain to call around to find a place to stay. We found one other site available (it was Jeep safari) and ANYTHING would be a step up from this dust bowel we were staying at. You are outside of town and have to drive to EVERYTHING. If you like being covered in red dust, like red dust on everything and like the sun beating on you all the time, then this is the place for you. The one positive is the bathrooms were clean.

We stayed this past weekend in a double cabin - my husband, myself and our two pre-teen boys. Met 3 other families (2 of whom stayed in the larger and nicer cabins as they had bigger families - if you want extra space and amenities, definitely worth the extra money). It was a nice place, close to Arches (not so close to Canyonlands). Cabin was very small but clean - does have running water with shower, toilet and sink, which is very nice to have in the hot and dusty desert. Also has a small refrigerator, microwave and a charcoal grill and picnic table available outside. There is also power (for coffee pots - bring your own - and recharging phones, ipads, etc). Sheets and towels were provided, but towels were small and worn so I would suggest bringing your own. Store on site at Shell station is helpful for those items you forgot, and there is a City Market in town of Moab just about 10 minute drive away. Definitely plan ahead to buy ice and groceries in town if possible.
Air conditioner worked well, which was great considering the heat. It did actually get too cold at night so suggest cooling it off before bed then shut down the unit (it is also very noisy).
Website says Wifi throughout the campsite, but we really had trouble getting a reliable connection most of our stay. Also, the "pool" is tiny and cold. We used the local creek and rec center instead - do NOT stay here for pool.
Overall we were satisfied with the resort. Simple and adequate. MJ - Longmont, CO

Room Tip: For longer or more comfortable stay, definitely pay extra for the larger cabins - the Casa Bonita wa...

We stayed there for three nights in our truck camper from May 6th to May 9th and chose this campground because it is conveniently located near Canyonlands, Dead Horse Point and the Arches. The staff was friendly and polite but that's about it. The campground itself has level sites but you're packed in there like a can of sardines with very little room. It is also very noisy from all of the ATV's running around the campground in addition to the road noise from the highway. When the wind blows, which it does quite a bit, it can be awfully dirty since this campground sits out in the open in the middle of nowhere. The bathrooms have showers in them and are halfway presentable but that can be expected. If we're ever in Moab again we'll definitely not stay at this place since there are better campgrounds to stay at in town..

The people were nice enough when we arrived. We had asked for a cabin with a bathroom. We got a cabin with a toilet and a shower. The sink was in the cubby hole that was a kitchenette. There was no place to sit except for the beds. The whole cabin was about 8 X 8 feet. This included beds, bathroom, and sink. A sign by the front door said do not bring pets or bicycles inside. This was not possible to do. If you put a kids bike in there you wouldn't be able to move around! Bedding was sketchy, worn out, and the bunks weren't even made. This place was $85 a night. I've stayed in cheap hotels before but this was ridiculous. My husband reserved it because it was close to Arches National Park. The Park was awesome but the "RESORT???" lacked every possible amenity you can imagine. Needless to say I was not happy. I do not camp and this is basically a campground with some crappy cottages on the edges. Some cottages don't even have bathrooms! Also the people who run this place were not in the little trading post store until 8:00. We were trying to get an early start and they wanted the key back before we left. We also couldn't get ice until somebody was there to unlock it and take the cash, $2.50 for a small bag.

Room Tip: They had a swimming pool but I didn't even try it. The best way to help you choose a good room...

We came to Moab for our traditional Memorial Day trip and ignorantly did not book camp sites in enough advance at our usual place and were lucky to find archview. I agree with a lot of the comments on here that arent so positive. The place was extremely crammed, showers were cold, showers dont open until 8 which is frustrating if you want to hike the NP early! The staff was quite short and rude especially in regards to check in. However when you pay 25$ for a camp plot, you cant expect too much. We knew from the map it was near the road so although it was not the best stay we were completely surprised.
