“Stunning, just stunning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 July 2014

After a long day of hiking in Arches national Park, it was wonderful to have this little oasis to come home to. Absolutely stunning views. Each evening we would enjoy a glass of wine sitting on the outside patio. Well equipped comfortable rooms. The hotel is a bit of a drive from Arches and downtown Moab, but worth it. I would absolutely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms numbered 100 - 300 seemed to have the best views.

We really enjoyed our stay at Red Cliff. What a wonderful, beautiful and enchanting place. We had made an error in booking our reservation and it looked as if we were going to have to stay elsewhere. This would have been very disappointing, because of the large amount of research we did to find this great lodge. Annie, the shift manager, saved the day. After much work and shuffling around, she was able to figure out a way to accommodate us when it looked as if there was no hope. In addition, the restaurant and views were excellent and the prices were reasonable. Hats off to Annie, looking forward to going back!

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Red Cliffs Lodge while visiting the Moab area. This place has a wonderful Colorado River location on Hwy 128- one of the most beautiful roads I have ever driven. The Lodge goes a little over the top with the Cowboy theme, but that's OK. We were staying in a cabin, and that is definitely what made the stay great. The cabins are free standing, and the porches offer a good deal of privacy, not to mention being located right along the river. We ate only once in the restaurant (dinner) and it was a bit disappointing, but we weren't in Moab for the food.

If you are staying in the area, and want something that is a tier above Red Cliffs, consider Sorrel River Ranch, just about 10 minutes away. It's a smaller property, with better appointed rooms, restaurants and grounds. Having said that, my husband preferred Red Cliffs because of the private cabins and "better" river location.

Room Tip: Get a cabin!

Travelingtexan 71, We are pleased that overall you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the Cowboy Theme is a huge part of our lodge as well as the attraction for most of our guests. It is a working ranch and was also the site of many old westerns with actors such as John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara. The list goes on and on.. It is really nice to hear that you enjoyed the Cabins. They were designed for a more private setting, and as you point out – the views of the river are great.

We regret that your meal was a bit of a disappointment. Perhaps next time in the area you could choose another entre from our menu that would hit the spot and make for a more perfect experience.

Red Cliffs Lodge does not attempt to compare with other properties in our area, rather we strive to keep with our unique perspective which is one of a rustic western lodge and one that we believe is a very unique Moab National Park Experience. Thank you for your comments, we hope to have you stay with us again in the future.

I don't think I will ever forget the beauty of this property. Stunning red rocks and the Colorado River snaking through it. An incredibly beautiful property. The rooms were good. We ate at the restaurant and it was a wonderful view. The water in the room is well water so it's salty and weird tasting so I recommend brushing teeth with bottled water.

We found Red Cliff Lodge on line and thought this looked pretty nice from there pictures, let's just say the pics didn't do the lodge justice. This place is AWESOME, totally more then we expected.
We were greeted with open arms, the staff was very helpful and willing to do what ever they could to make our stay enjoyable. Clean rooms, food was great both dinner and breakfast. We did a horse back trail ride, and rafting trip that were both set up by the ladies at the front desk. The Arches National park is about 30 minutes from the lodge, which the drive was just beautiful around every corner was another Kodak moment. Oh yea, the museum about the movie history shot there at the lodge and surrounding area is terrific as well. Rate our stay a definite 10+
Thanks to all at the Red Cliff Lodge, Dave Buell Columbus,Ohio

Words can hardly describe the majesty of this location. The physical setting is breathtakingly spectacular. Every view in every direction is stunning. Pictures do not do the place justice. Standing on a manicured lawn or lounging in the pool while looking over the Colorado River would be idyllic by itself. Add to that the massive red cliffs and the unearthly rock formations and the scene becomes truly magical. If that were not enough, the lodge provides world-class amenities that enable guests to enjoy the mystical surroundings in rustic luxury. The lodge also offers a range of activities from liesurely to adventurous. The owner, Colin Fryer, has developed a little slice of heaven in this rugged western setting. His family and attentive staff will make sure you are delighted by every aspect of your stay. Put this place on your bucket list.

Room Tip: Ask for a room or cabin on the Colorado River. You would enjoy any room on the property, but those...

Our family stayed here last week in a double queen cabin along the Colorado river. This was our second stay in 3 years and we couldn't be more pleased. The views and location are top notch, the front staff attentive and restaurant is more than capable. The rooms retain that rustic cabin feel while being comfortable, and include all the amenities a family needs for a reasonable length stay. The movie museum is a special (free) treat and one we enjoyed as well. Lastly, we like the "contrast" of being truly connected to the canyon and surroundings vs being in the heart of Moab. Red Cliffs is a great place and highly recommend.

Room Tip: Get a room on the river as they all have patios and unforgettable views. A great place to enjoy an e...
