We were just passing through Moab, and didn't realize what an outdoor recreation area this is. We almost didn't get a room because there was a large group of people with Humvees at the hotel. There are several areas, and national parks surrounding Moab where off-road vehicles can run. There's also fishing in the Colorado River which runs through Moab. This being the case, we were totally shocked at the price of the room at this Holliday Inn Express ($175 per night - plus tax)!! There was construction going on during the day in the lot next to the hotel, and there was a "gathering", with refreshments, of the Humvee people outside in the parking lot in the evening. It wasn't a very peaceful, or restful stay. On top of all that, our air conditioner didn't work well (never did really cool down), and there was no other room to move us to. I did sort of expect some kind of an apology in the form of a break on the price of the room at the end of it all, but not so. We will NOT stay there again.

We were at the end of a hiking, outdoor vacation, staying here was a real treat. Wanda checked us in. You couldn't ask for a nicer person to greet people. Later, we met her in the parking lot getting license numbers for guests who didn't know theirs and didn't want to go and look. How nice is that?
The rooms were large and spotless. Breakfast offered hot and cold items and was good. Was wonderful break.

This Holiday Inn has a great location near the entrance to Arches. We stayed for 3 nights in a King Suite, which gave us plenty of space. The bed was very comfortable, but we could have used an extra blanket. I mentioned housekeeping could have done a better job and they did so for the next 2 days we were there. The staff wasn't very friendly and they could improve on these skills.
If we return to Moab, we would stay here again.

As Holiday Inn Rewards members we enjoyed a very good stay. Large rooms, well equipped with Refrig and microwave and on ground floor near elevators and guest laundry. Our stay coincided with Moab Music Festival which meant things were busy. Front desk staff were a little hassled and even though we paid cash on leaving they billed my credit card and took 10 days to recredit costing me in exchange fees! Good and varied breakfast as per usual HI hotels.
Hotel is very clean with good beds. Hotel is the closest of 2 to Arches NP and ashort drive out of town however it means that the environs are nice and quiet!

Room Tip: Ground floor King rooms are very comfy and roomy. Individual Airconditioner unit works well and win...

When we stayed, there were signs all over the hotel apologizing for any inconvenience due to remodeling. Our room was fine, no major issues. On the plus side, there was a good flat screen TV and a much better than average selection of cable stations. I was a bit disappointed that our room had neither microwave nor small refrigerator, items that I have gotten used to in other HIEs that I have stayed at--and even many lower priced hotels.

For some reason this hotel has no roadside sign. To get to it, you use the driveway marked for the Aarchway. It is on the left side of the road as you go north out of Moab. We blew right past it on the first try. It is not hard to find but look for the Aarchway or you could miss the driveway.

Overall, we were satisfied and liked not being in the center of Moab, but still only a few minutes away.

Typical HIE experience. Good staff, good location. Better than the high priced and overrated lodge up 128. Our only complaint was the room smelled musty when the AC was off. Front desk was efficient and friendly.

This hotel is on the very edge of town, about a 5 min drive to Arches National Park. It is out of the town centre, so if you want to go for a meal and have a drink you will have to get a taxi. The hotel is good standard clean and spacious. The receptionist could really do with a course on customer service, everything seemed to be a chore for her. If I was staying in Moab again I would stay nearer the town centre.
