“I was disappointed!!!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 June 2014

..beginning our journey across the SW states to visit the National Parks, this was our first stop. Had stayed here before in a Kamping Kabin, but that was a few years ago. It's gotten a little bit crowded since then.

They built Deluxe Kabins, and decided to try it. (I had stayed @ a Deluxe Kabin in another facility and really liked it). I was very disappointed in this though. There was NO personal touch to the cabin, very bare - no sink - had a microwave and frig tho. There was nothing in the room. The other KOA (who shall remain nameless) had put curtains on the windows, coffee pot w/coffe in the room, quilt and decorative pillows on the bed, and some untensils for your use. That is what I was expecting, but didn't get that. It was situated out of the main park area in the desert. The view was okay, but right on a wash area. Nothing at all to write home about. The owners haven't taken the time to make it nice and cheery.

The staff was very nice though although we did not have much contact with them except at check-in.

Someone was nice enough to hit my car and not leave a note. That wasn't KOAs fault, but it kind of put a damper on things!!

I don't know if I'd ever make reservations here again though.

Thanks for staying with us. Our Cottages have a pillow top queen size bed and a set of bunk beds, with a flat screen TV, microwave, small fridge and your own bathroom with tub/shower. Lodges however have in addition the cutlery, crockery, a kitchen sink and a stove top.

Everything was great. They have an awesome house where the owners lives that keeps snow on the roof year round. Nice warm lights, inviting and soft all around at night. There is a spirit that lives there manifest in a lizard that will happily guide you on your journey. Tip Top accomodations and the customer service was great. Be mindful you keep focused and don't let your mind wander, there are places here that can frighten the bravest of men, and that is probably all I should say about that. All in all, more than just another brick in the wall. A plus. Ask for Roger.

Stayed at Moab KOA South of town for one night in a tent space (slept in camper). This was my first time in a KOA. Most sites have shade from small trees but sites are a little cramped and close together, also a little dusty (but this is Moab after all). Toilet/shower facilties were good and clean but not enough at peak times. WiFi was hopeless, very weak signal and too many people using it (they need to increase capacity). None of us could get online inspite of being very close to the transmitter - this was frustrating. Reasonably quiet and OK views, about a 10 minute drive to downtown. Staff very friendly. There are several other sites in and near town that would be worth checking out as some appear to have larger trees and more shade.

My wife and I spent four nights here while doing activities in and around the area of Moab. The staff went out of their way to see to our comfort. Mary and her husband Terry were just wonderful in helping us to decide on what to do. The campground itself was nice. The roads and sites are gravel and fairly level. Most have some shade. Clean restrooms and showers. We will stay here again when we come back from Texas. We were in a travel trailer.

We hadn't stayed at a KOA before, so we weren't sure what to expect. The staff is awesome. Very attentive to our needs and extremely helpful. The tent sites were really good and the bathrooms were better than expected. It was also quiet at night, so sleep wasn't a problem at all. We would definitely consider staying again if we go back to Moab!

The deluxe cabins are worth the price considering the price of a hotel room downtown was double that. The staff seem nice enough and the facilities are a little south of town for a quieter setting. If you want to be close to town for restaurants and shopping, this is not the place. 10 minute drive into town.

The deluxe cabins are new and perfect for a camping experience with a toddler since tent camping can be challenging (private bathroom).

It was more than I expected. The cabin was nice and cozy. We had selected a two room cabin that can accommodate up to six person group. It had the feel of being close to outdoors and yet nice warm and cozy inside. Restrooms and showers were nearby for campers to utilize. Check in was easy as well as check-out. The location is only within a few minutes away from the main downtown Moab and the entrance to the Arches National Park. It was great value considering that this was a Memorial Day long weekend and the entire town is Solid Booked and no-vacancies.
I will definitely come back here again and bring more friends or family.

Room Tip: Select a cabin nearby the showers and restroom to avoid long walks at night especially if you're...
