“Eating on terrace overlooking Colorado”

View of red rocks and green/brown Colorado, with Fisher Towers in distance, stunning. Catfish, chicken fried chicken, seafood pasta for adults, all very good. Child ate all his chicken, and especially enjoyed the huge knife. Apple pudding excellent, light and appley. Local wine good value. Cost $100 for dinner, and worth it.

“Dinning with breathtaking view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

We had a delightful dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The local winery has excellent wine and we enjoyed a bottle of Outlaw Red. I enjoyed a small steak and my vegetarian husband was thrilled with the stuffed portabella mushroom. Noel was very attendant to our needs but not overly so. We ate on the patio, a very leisurely evening watching the sun make beautiful shadows on the rocks. The patio overlooks the Colorado River. The one big distraction were the number of flies...I don't know what the best answer might be but they were a terrible annoyance to an otherwise lovely evening.

“Great experience overall!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014

We had a lovely dining experience prior to the Utah Symphony performance at Red Cliffs Lodge. The view of the red cliffs and Colorado River are unsurpassed, the food was delicious and priced right for what we ordered, and our server, Chad, could not have been more helpful nor more personable - overall a lovely dining experience that we would recommend!

“Great View”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

While staying at the Red Cliffs Lodge we ate at the Cowboy Grill (the only restaurant at the lodge). The breakfast buffet $10.95 per adult was average, normal buffet items, eggs, bacon, potatoes, bread, fruit. Fyi the sun glare in the restaurant in the morning is blinding For dinner my husband and I each had the 10oz. filet wrapped in bacon- $28 ea. The steak was very good--the views are awesome but there was no music and there were poorly disguised fly traps on all the window ledges-which didn't seem to be helping much. I was 'grossed out' and asked the fly trap next to my table be removed. The server reluctantly obliged. Ok food and service but not a dining destination.

“Not as good as it maybe thinks it is”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

First, I have to say that the Lodge is a fantastic place to stay. We had two great days there. However, I felt that the food was not as good as it could have been. Steaks in their various guises are fine, and I suppose the Lodge's heritage is all to do with ranching and beef and cowboys, etc but I can't help feeling that the food side of things needs to move on and that they could maybe take a leaf out of the Desert Bistro's book, with something a little more sophisticated, or is that heresy I'm talking here?
