I consider myself a hotel snob and I will only stay at certain hotels and this is one of them. They are clean and very up to date with the decor. Great look and feel for the hotel. Loved the pool. Very relaxing and inviting. Cookies at the end of the day out in the lobby was a plus.

Clean room, but carpets and some furniture outdated. Seems to have had some renovations, but not much. Very dissapointed in the breakfast selection and the size of the dining room. Breakfast served only until 9:30 so all the people flood the place at all times with no place to sit. We were lucky to get a table near the elevator, but we came around 7:30 am. Buffet wasn't replenished quick enough so we had to wait for 10 minute for the eggs to be ready. Coffee machine ran out of coffee too, so that had to be fixed as well. We opened two strawberry jams and both had mold growing on the service. It seems two workers there are overwhelmed with cooking and replenishing the buffet. Poor selection of breads, too. We would have appreciated some biscuits. Very disappointing. We had to leave for our next destination and were hoping to eat fast and be on our way, but that didn't happen due to poor service. Both this Best Western and another one we stayed in a few night before were very disappointing. Lady at the checkout had a family member clunker car blocking the entrance so we had to park somewhere else during checkout. There was a pick up truck with a huge trailer taking up 6 parking spaces, we had to park somewhere else in the middle of the night when we arrived. We asked for a crib but even though it was delivered it wasn't set up, we had to mess with it late in the night (one of those pack and plays) with a cranky, sleepy child waiting for his bed. No extra blankets either, so we had to call them to deliver one so we can cover our child. They were more expensive than some modern and nicer hotels we stayed in and given the price we were very disappointed. Will not book any Best western ever again.

We stayed at Best Western Canyonlands for one night in March and were extremely pleased with our choice. The service was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The rooms were very clean and we liked having two sinks (one in the bathroom with the shower, and another just outside the bathroom door. Only drawback in the room was the noisy heater at night. Great location in Moab - you can walk to shops and restaurants with no need to get in the car every time you want to go out. What we loved the most was the newly finished pool patio area. Lovely patio furniture and overall surroundings. Sitting in the hot tub while the kids splashed in the pool was a great way to spend the evening. Overall, a fantastic stay and we would return and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Moab!

Colomomof2,

Thank you so much for your detailed review of your recent stay. I am overjoyed with all of the positive feedback we have received regarding our recent renovations. It was a busy, long winter with the construction but we could not be happier with the results. I hope that you will visit again soon!

Great location, pool and jacuzzi and breakfast make this a great hotel when visiting Moab. We stayed an extra day since it was so comfortable. Quiet, clean and staff was very helpful. It is not the least expensive on the block, but you do get great value.

We were touring all the national parks in Utah and California, and the Western had the locations near the parks. The first reservation was online from our home, the rest made by the Best Western motel for the next stop. This allowed the freedom the spend as much time as we want at each of the 6 national parks we visited.

Moab is a pretty small town, so my expectations weren't very high when I stayed here for a couple of nights for work. That said - I was pretty impressed with this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and tidy. The pool was closed when I stayed there, so I can't comment on that aspect of the hotel.
Breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare - with some hot food (eggs, potatoes, bacon) baked goods (bagels, etc), coffee, and a nice staff member who could make fresh pancakes on request.
Bottom line - I would stay here again if I were in the area.

Room Tip: Tip for anyone staying here: request a room on the second floor. The rooms on the ground floor were...
