We travel to Moab frequently and have stayed in many of the local hotels. The Best Western Canyonlands is our favorite place to stay in town. The rooms are large, clean, and reasonably priced. The location is perfect - walking distance to restaurants, grocery store, shops, museum etc. The staff are courteous, and the complimentary breakfast is very good. The Hotel pool is bubbled in the winter months so the kids can enjoy it year-round. The rooms have recently been nicely updated with new carpet, furniture, comfortable beds, and flat-screen TVs. We have stayed at the Canyonlands Inn many times and have never been disappointed.

We stayed at Canyonlands Inn for three nights in mid-Oct. 2008. Our room was spacious, very clean and well-appointed. We had two vanities (one in the shower/toilet area), so my husband and I each had our own. The king bed was double-sheeted and very comfy and we had a sofa, and two nice chairs and a table. The cont. breakfast was great, with hot eggs, bacon, etc. They also had warm cookies each evening. The location is great - right in the middle of town close to restaurants and shops. The only two "complaints" I can think of is that the rooms really don't have views, and on our floor anyway, there were two steps down to our hallway from the elevator, so you couldn't use a baggage cart to bring your things to the room. But overall it was a very comfortable room at a very affordable rate in mid-October. -- The pool was closed for a couple days just while we were there so they could put the plastic bubble over it, but we didn't care as we had so much exploring to do. We easily could have stayed another night!

This was our third time through Moab, and the Canyonlands Best Western was the best place we've stayed so far. It's right in the middle of the business district, surrounded by a dozen restaurants serving anything for any palette, and more gift shops than you can shake a stick at.

Beyond that, it's in the middle of such wonders as Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Dead Horse Point State Park, the marvelous road Utah-128, and a bit further away, Monument Valley and Natural Bridges National Monument.

Check in was fast, the room clean, the beds comfortable. What more could you ask for? Wireless worked fine, and they even have a hot breakfast with eggs (scrambled only) and bacon.

The next time I'm in Moab, I'd probably stay there again.

The on-site restaurant was busy, so we ate at Miguels Baja Grill, which was *excellent*. But watch out, that "spicy, grilled jalapeno" isn't just hot, it's make-your-eyes-bleed hot. But good.

Overall great experience especially the full breakfast that was available up to 10am each day: Eggs, freshly made waffles, muffins, fruit, coffee, etc. Staff was friendly, efficient and capable. But it is not cheap - definitely not budget accomodations.
Near restaurants, stores, visitors' center and entrance to Arches NP.

We were given a "handicapped" room -- we may have inadvertently requested it. It was on the first floor and seemed to be newly renovated: it looked amd smelled new. It was large and roomy and the bathroom was the most spacious that we have ever encountered. Because the bath was built for the handicapped it had a sink that was elevated by at least 4 inches-this helped my back when washing or shaving. The commode was also about 4 inches higher. The combination bathtub/shower had a fold-down seat, grab bars and a first-rate shower.
I am tempted to request "handicapped" rooms in any future hotel reservations!

We stayed at this hotel in mid-August for 3 nights. Travelling with two teens we had booked the presidential-suite. We choosed the suite because we thought our kids could have a good night sleep in the living-room-area on the sofabed and we still would have enough space for the family. Well. It was ok with the space, but it was not at all ok with the sofabed. I never have seen and felt ! such a terrible sofabed in my life. After having ordered several more sheets and given our main - thick sheet - from our kingbed to the sofabed, our kids could at least sleep without having the feeling of sleeping on a stone floor with rocks around them. Well, I really would recommend to the hotel-management to change this sofabed into a good one. Otherwise if you plan to stay in this suite with more than two people: Do Not !!!

The hotel itself was very good, the kids liked the hottub in the masterbedroom (where they could at least recover a little bit from the terrible sofabed-experience). The pool is very nice, the water could have been cleaner, but ok, we stayed during the weekend and the hotel was fully booked, so I guess no real chance for the pool-clerk to keep the water fresh and clean. Still it was ok and having more than 100 degrees around us during daytime we had a good relax there.

The breakfast was ok, more a continental breakfast than a full american breakfast. For the many people the space for eating was quite ok. I would recommend to the management to think of changing all the plastic plates and cups and other plastic stuff into real porzellan dishes. There was such a great waste of plastic. For Europeans like us just unbelievable. Other motel and hotel chains already changed all this waste and do not offer plastic dishes any more!

We found a nice "Sportsbar" just outside the hotel to the left, away from the mainroad and had some good Margaritas there. As other reviewers told the hotel is very central in Moab so you have many - good - choices for dinner and all of them in walking distance.

Overall, yes, definately we would stay at the Best Western again but next time we would take two rooms instead of the suite!
