“Great B and B in Moab”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 October 2013 via mobile

Vic and Anna are great hosts. Vic is a talented chef and they both really seem to have a passion for sharing the great things to do in the area. Anna gave us great restaurant recommendations for the two nights we were there. She even called to make our reservation for us. My wife and I even were able to use the hot tub underneath the fabulous Utah stars after a long day of hiking. I highly recommend Desert Hills!

When booking our holiday, we booked up Desert Hills B&B as a one night stop-off on route from the Rockies to the Grand Canyon. We just wish we had done more research as a one night stay was far too short. Vic and Anna have done a fabulous job of creating the perfect B&B. They have managed to create something very special, thinking of absolutely everything to make your stay as easy and as enjoyable as it could possibly be. The accommodation is very homely, clean and welcoming. There are snacks on hand, a lovely hot tub to soak in and a living room to relax in whilst reading literature or watching a DVD on the local area. Anna was very helpful in advising us on a quick late afternoon tour of the Arches and also on a restaurant with fabulous food and live entertainment. Furthermore, she even had the foresight to email alternative recreational options before we arrived when it looked as though the local National Parks would be closed for our visit. Vic excelled in the kitchen making wonderful blueberry pancakes to go with a plentiful selection of cereals, yoghurts and fruit.

Vic and Anna have put a great deal of thought and hard work into providing a very special place to stay, going the extra mile to ensure their guests have the best possible time. We will definitely return to Moab and when we do, there is only one place we will stay - the Desert Hills B&B.

We stayed at Desert Hills B&B for the first time in 2009. For our family vacation this year we didn't even consider staying elsewhere. Vic and Anna are exceptional hosts and really make you feel at home.
This isn't the typical East Coast, Victorian house B&B...it's Moab after all. Instead the hosts are young foodies who can tell you where the best biking trail is or where NOT to eat (thank you!). It's really more like staying with good friends who happen to make amazing breakfasts.
If you have the chance make sure to stay here, but book well in advance or you'll be out of luck!

We spent two nights in Moab on our way back to the Parks (now that they are open again). Desert Hills is a bit out of town, but in a nice neighborhood with great views from the hot tub. Room was spacious with full bath. But our hosts, Anna and Vic made the visit great. They are very welcoming, helpful with tips on what to do and see and really trying to make sure our stay in Moab was special. We suggest a 4x4 journey up into the Canyonlands. It was something that we had never tried, but really enjoyed.

Dear Eric,
Thank you so much for reviewing our home on Tripadvisor, it is really important and appreciated.
We are so happy you really enjoyed your 4x4 trip, maybe next time you decide to come back to Moab you'll be able to spend a few more nights with us so you can get to explore a lot more than you have already.
Thank you again and we hope to see you soon!

We spent four nights at this B&B, and were very pleased with our visit. We stayed in the Sunrise Room, very spacious and kept immaculately clean each day. Anna is especially helpful in planning hikes in the area; she can name a trail to fit your needs for the day! Vic is a great breakfast chef with something new and hearty each morning. We enjoyed coming home after a long day of hiking, and just relaxing in the back yard with a beer, great views and a good book! The whole family, including the young Andre, made us feel very welcome!

My husband and I just returned from a week in Moab, Utah. We stayed all but one night at the Desert Hills B&B. It was a great experience. Vic and Anna go out of their way to make the guests feel at home. We were in the Sunrise Room which has two beds, a walk-in closet with small fridge and a private bathroom. It was roomy and comfortable. We felt very relaxed and welcomed there. Vic did his best to accommodate our dietary needs. The food was delicious and plentiful. Actually, our hosts pretty much "saved" our vacation as we had originally planned to see Arches Nat'l Park and Canyonlands Nat'l park, both of which closed the day before our arrival. Due to Vic and Anna's familiarity with the area, we were able to visit some terrific state parks, hike many fantastic trails and take some scenic drives. We were as busy as we wanted to be. It's a little farther out than some of the other B & B's, but the peace and quiet were lovely. We highly recommend the Desert Hills B & B.

Room Tip: Sunrise Room is roomy. Must be able to climb stairs to reach it.

From the minute you arrive at this great Oasis of Paradise you are made to feel totally at home and comfortable. Anna, does a wonderful job of greeting you, showing you around this wonderfully decorated home, from the use of the refrigerator, the hot tub, the various sitting rooms, and the beautifully landscaped back yard that has breathless views of the mountains and the Stars at night.

Vic, what can I say but just a great guy who will cook you a breakfast that you won't get at most fancy Big Name Hotels, and will share fun info with you about the night sky and the surrounding area.

Thank you Vic, Anna and Andrea for really making our Four Days in Moab A Wonderful Time by providing us with just an Awesome B&B.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Red Rocks Room for 4 Nights and it was just great. I also really appreciated the Ro...

Dear Bob,
It was fun having you here and sharing the little bit of knowledge that I have of the beautiful Moab night skies.
Anna and I appreciate all the compliments and the great words we receive from the many guests constantly give us.
It is also our pleasure to know that you liked all the amenities we offer.
As I mentioned in the past reviews it is important for us that our future guests reading this great reviews understand that our Bed and Breakfast is nothing but our home, in a residential neighborhood south of Moab, where we offer accommodations in a family friendly and relaxed environment.
We hope the many great reviews about our home won't be deceiving to some of our future guests who may be expecting too much from us or from our place.
Thank you again
Vic, Anna and Andre.
