Vic and Anna are the best hosts ever. There is nothing they won't do to help you have a good holiday whilst staying with them. On our arrival Anna asked if we had anything lined up for the rest of the day and suggested we went go to archers for the sunset (as it was late in afternoon ) this we did , bit unfortunately it didn't materialise. Next day on her recommendation she booked us on the jetboat up the Colorado river. That was a superb trip.
Vic is the chef for breakfast and what superb ones they are. You certainly do not leave the table wanting more. His breakfast really sets you up for the day.
Overall this is a faultless accommodation and one that has to be highly recommended.

Our kids gave us a weekend stay at Desert Hills Bed and Breakfast for Christmas, which we enjoyed this past weekend...and we added an extra day. The whole atmosphere is friendly, comfortable and welcoming. Vic and Anna welcomed us warmly, provided outstanding service (Vic is an excellent breakfast cook...so is Anna), beautifully appointed and updated rooms, many suggestions for things to do. The Desert Hills B & B is located several miles out of town, so there is little traffic disturbance. Three days isn't enough time to fully enjoy the Moab area and we'll be back.

Room Tip: There are several different sized rooms that accompany more than 2 people...check their website for...

We lucked out when we stayed at the Desert Hills B&B! We booked a room there last minute and luckily they had a cancellation so we could stay three nights while roaming around Arches and Canyonlands for a couple of days. Anna and Vic were the perfect hosts. The B&B is in a quiet residential area just outside Moab. We were given the Friends and Family suite which was really more room than we needed but a nice break from hotel rooms. We had a living room with a small fridge and two bedrooms and a private entrance to the backyard. We also had a private bathroom just outside our room. Breakfast was provided and cooked by Vic. There was one warm breakfast entrée that was different every day. Also available with breakfast are fresh hot coffee, hot water for tea/cocoa, orange juice, milks, sodas, garden fresh fruit, cereals, breads, jams, and yogurts. Both Anna and Vic are very knowledge about area attractions and helped us plan our itinerary every day. They also have great recommendations for area restaurants. If you are staying in the Moab area, this is the place to be!

My wife and I stayed at the Desert Hills B&B for two nights in late April. This is a very lovely, quiet place about 4 miles south of downtown Moab and about 9 miles from the entrance to Arches National Park. We were warmly greeted by Anna and Vic, the owners. Anna gave us the "official tour" of the kitchen, dining room, living room, and the outdoors area (including the hot tub); told us to make ourselves at home; when breakfast was served, etc. She showed us to our room upstairs. The bedroom was spacious and spotless with great amenities, including a small refrigerator. We had reserved the room that did not have the private bathroom en-suite. Instead our bath was directly across the hall from our room and was only for our private use. There is a directory of information in the room about the area, the local restaurants, activities, etc. Our room key also included an attached card that gave guests a small discount on groceries and gas at the City Market in Moab - a neat and appreciated idea! And we used it. After a long day of traveling, we headed into town for dinner at Zax's right on the main north-south route. Then back to the B&B for a little reading and a good night's sleep. The bed was very comfortable; we enjoyed the comfort of the overhead fan; the lamps on both sides of the bed were appreciated; and even though the B&B was full, it was very quiet. We slept like logs. After we awakened and showered the next morning, we went downstairs for breakfast. Vic made us a delicious and filling breakfast. Fellow guests were from England, France, and the far reaches of the U.S.A. We hiked in Arches National Park all day; came home to shower; headed back into town for dinner; picked up some groceries and filled the gas tank; and headed back to the B&B. Another good night's sleep was followed by another superb breakfast prepared by Vic. On the second morning, fellow guests were from Italy, Seattle, Boston, Berkeley, and Utah (and us from Vermont). There was again a warm and lively conversation around the breakfast table. Because we were heading to the Grand Canyon, we left shortly after breakfast. We have stayed in many B&Bs on our travels around the country. This one was one of the best. I should note that the on-line reservation process was easy and seamless. We will stay here on our next trip to southeastern Utah.

Two nights here is just not enough. Vic and Anna are perfect innkeepers, Andre providing entertainment in the garden with the hose and his plant watering duties! Their home is beautiful, perfectly clean and comfortable. The hot tub at night with a glass of wine is a perfect way to wind up the day. Fresh cooked breakfast as well as cereals and fresh fruit, not to mention "help yourself to anything in the fridge". We didn't, but we could have! Anna offers a laundry service too but I rinsed my own socks out... Vic and Anna, thanks for everything!

Desert Hills B&B looks unremarkable from the outside, a large private home in a sparsely-built residential area about 4 miles south of "downtown" Moab (it's a small town). But don't be misled by its unprepossessing appearance: this is a first-rate B&B with top of the line comfort and hospitality. Hosts Vic and Anna have time for everyone while maintaining an uber-comfortable home away from home for up to 12 guests. Our room was very spacious and very pleasantly furnished, with a super-comfy king bed. Breakfasts were great, Vic and Anna seemingly easygoing and bustling at the same time.

The place is spotless and nicely appointed, like your own home only nicer, and not overwhelmed with a ton of froufrou decor and knickknack so like so many B&B's. It feels like home, with books to read and DVDs to watch, and a wonderful outdoor hot tub where you can relax while admiring the desert night skies.

Vic and Anna are easy to chat with and enormously helpful, from recommending the best strategy for seeing Arches to lending us a charging cable for our iPad. No question about it -- this is where you want to stay if visiting Arches National Park. But book early: they fill up a few. In this in advance, and for good reason.

From the moment we arrived we felt at home. Anna showed us around and told us to help ourselves to coffee, tea, or cookies at night. The home cooked breakfasts were amazing. Vic made most of them but when Vic was gone Anna did an amazing job as well.
Anna was a gift from God when it came to arranging times and dates so that we could do everything we wanted in such a short time.
It was very hard to leave but rest assured if we go back, we will be staying here.
Thank you Vic and Anna for making our time so enjoyable.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Rock room. It had it's own personal bathroom and close to the door for in and o...
