“Beautiful house, amazing hospitality!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014

My husband and I stayed here for our one year wedding anniversary instead of a hotel. It was our first stay at a bed and breakfast and we LOVED it! Vic and Anna provide a hospitality that really make you feel comfortable and at home. They have restored our optimism about good people. Staying at Desert Hills really made our trip. My husband and I were discussing whether or not most bed and breakfasts were this special. We wouldn't know from experience but there is no way! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you Vic, Anna, and Andre.

Room Tip: The suite was amazing!

Friends recommended this place to us...and we are SO happy we chose to take their advice.
The home is just that...a quiet, lovely home to Anna/Vic/Andre AND everyone who stays here.

There were five of us...four adults and one 10 year old. We booked the friends and family "suite" for our Daughter and her family...we stayed in the "Valley View" room. My only advice would be to stay in any one of the other double rooms. While our room was clean and comfortable, there was no space for even a small chair to sit in. The bathroom was across the hall (which we knew in advance) and was private (lockable, although we saw no need to lock anything) just for my husband and I. The friends/family suite worked out great for the "kids"...even had direct access to the back yard through a lovely deck area.

The two breakfasts we had (vegetable omelet the first morning was filled with veggies/herbs from the garden and the blueberry pancakes the second morning were simply delicious. Hats off to "chef Vic" There was also all kinds of hot/cold cereals, yogurt, fruit and a toaster available. The refrigerator is open 24/7 and has juices/sodas/milk available. Coffee and hot water for tea or hot drinks was also available all the time. There were delicious chocolate chips cookies sitting on the kitchen table for everyone to enjoy.

Our Grandson, Max, had so much fun playing in the grassy backyard...swinging on the swing set and even playing ball and digging in the mud with Andre (age 7). We all enjoyed the hot tub.

Anna was so helpful and accommodating ... she even "shared" their favorite swimming hole with us, and everyone enjoyed themselves. THANK YOU...THANK YOU...THANK YOU for a wonderful stay in Moab...so nice to have a home to return to at the end of a long day visiting the magnificent National Parks.

Room Tip: As I mentioned above, while the valley view room is very nice-it is small even for just two people...

Vic and Anna have found their niche! Everyone is welcomed into their HOME. Staying at Desrt Hills felt more like staying at a good friend's house. Vic and Anna have thought of everything. From snacks in the kitchen, highlighted brochures for the towns eating establishments, robes and flip flops that they provide for the hot tub, even made arrangements for our rafting trip. I was a little worried about breakfast since I have an extremely picky child, but he ate every bite! And so did the rest of us. I highly recommend the Desert Hills Bed and Breakfast.

Room Tip: We had the friends and family room for family of four and it was Perfect!

We stayed at the Desert Hills Bed and Breakfast in Moab for four nights in the middle of a three week vacation through the national park systems in the southwest states. Our need was essentially to find a resting spot for planned forays into Canyonlands, Arches, and Dead Horse parks.

We found Anna and Vic the consummate hosts, who left us feeling welcome and comfortable. We have visited many B&Bs in the US and Canada over the years, and have observed that it takes a special couple to make a B&B really work. Anna and Vic have that B&B "magic", and it really works well. A younger couple, they are energetic and fun to be with. They are very service oriented and think outside the box in hosting their guests. In this sense they are very mature and want their guests to have the best possible experience.

As others have indicated, breakfasts are great, and provide the chance for various guests to socialize and share experiences. Evenings too provided us an opportunity to share stories over wine in the back yard.

The accommodations are clean and attractive, and we would love any opportunity to stay there again.

This is simply an excellent offering.

Vic and Anna are the best hosts ever. There is nothing they won't do to help you have a good holiday whilst staying with them. On our arrival Anna asked if we had anything lined up for the rest of the day and suggested we went go to archers for the sunset (as it was late in afternoon ) this we did , bit unfortunately it didn't materialise. Next day on her recommendation she booked us on the jetboat up the Colorado river. That was a superb trip.
Vic is the chef for breakfast and what superb ones they are. You certainly do not leave the table wanting more. His breakfast really sets you up for the day.
Overall this is a faultless accommodation and one that has to be highly recommended.

Our kids gave us a weekend stay at Desert Hills Bed and Breakfast for Christmas, which we enjoyed this past weekend...and we added an extra day. The whole atmosphere is friendly, comfortable and welcoming. Vic and Anna welcomed us warmly, provided outstanding service (Vic is an excellent breakfast cook...so is Anna), beautifully appointed and updated rooms, many suggestions for things to do. The Desert Hills B & B is located several miles out of town, so there is little traffic disturbance. Three days isn't enough time to fully enjoy the Moab area and we'll be back.

Room Tip: There are several different sized rooms that accompany more than 2 people...check their website for...

We lucked out when we stayed at the Desert Hills B&B! We booked a room there last minute and luckily they had a cancellation so we could stay three nights while roaming around Arches and Canyonlands for a couple of days. Anna and Vic were the perfect hosts. The B&B is in a quiet residential area just outside Moab. We were given the Friends and Family suite which was really more room than we needed but a nice break from hotel rooms. We had a living room with a small fridge and two bedrooms and a private entrance to the backyard. We also had a private bathroom just outside our room. Breakfast was provided and cooked by Vic. There was one warm breakfast entrée that was different every day. Also available with breakfast are fresh hot coffee, hot water for tea/cocoa, orange juice, milks, sodas, garden fresh fruit, cereals, breads, jams, and yogurts. Both Anna and Vic are very knowledge about area attractions and helped us plan our itinerary every day. They also have great recommendations for area restaurants. If you are staying in the Moab area, this is the place to be!
