“Great base for Moab activities”
Reviewed 25 June 2011

In Moab for some road biking and decided on the Rustic - some negative reviews but my experience was excellent.

Location was great - quiet / set back but just a few minutes walk from the main street and only 10 mins walk to the local supermarket

Spacious double Queen room for all my gear and my bike. Big desk if you need to work / layout maps Beds were clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. As mentioned by others, there's no washbasin as such in the bathroom - theres a mirror over one of the two basins in the kitchenette

Kitchenette could do with a bit more worktop space but otherwise well equipped with a large fridge and microwave

Staff were friendly and helpful. Also has a laundry on site which isnt mentioned on the website

Would definitely stay again

Great staff: As with most motels, this one was non-smoking... however someone must have broken the rules because the room we were assigned smelled of smoke. We do not blame the management for this - I am particularly sensitive to the smell of smoke, and it can take days for a room to air out. We were also pleasantly surprised that the management apologized and gave us another room, which smelled fine.

We also got tons of suggestions from the staff on what kinds of hikes in the area would suit our schedule, and they have some great books in the lobby that describe local hikes.

Room: Great to have a kitchenette with fridge, microwave, large sink, utensils and plates/bowls/cups. Room, kitchenette and bathroom were clean. Decor and bedding - nothing special but does the job.

Location: Quiet, just off the main street through Moab, 1 minute walk to restaurants and shops.

This is a good value hotel. The room is updated and clean and big. From the outside it doesn't look like much but I feel the hotel should have a better rating on trip advisor. I would rat it in the top quarter of hotels in general and for he money it is a good deal. No surprises here.

The best feature of this motel room, for us, was that we had the 1 bed 'suite' with full kitchen. The restaurants in Moab are serve terrible 'tourist' food and are overpriced, in our experience. So it was great to be able to cook our own stuff. Many people have commented on the cheap furnishings in the apartment and it certainly isn't a luxury condo, but then they will cost you $200 a night in Moab. It is a simple, but clean and friendly Motel a few steps from the town centre. Out only two problems here were that it appeared that all the pumbing for the motel ran behind our bedroom as when anyone showered (eveni if they did this at 6.00am in the morning, we could hear rushing, gushing water in the pipes behind the wall of our bedroom. Kind of alarming! Also, the internet signal was very weak in our room and intermittent. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Rustic and felt we got the best out of Moab.

We stayed at the Rustic Inn for one night on our way from the Grand Canyon to Yellowstone. Moab is a fantastic little town and the scenery is amazing, Arches National Park should definitely be on the to-do list if passing through. The rooms at the Rustic Inn were very clean and freshly renovated and it was the best value in town. The staff on the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We had lunch at Eddie McStiff’s when we arrived in the town and the burgers are great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Moab and loved Utah as a whole. We’d love to get back there again one day! The Rustic Inn is definitely the best value in town!

I visited Moab in late March. I had intended on camping. However, I ended up spending a few nights at the Rustic Inn as it was affordable and centrally located. I was extremely pleased with my accomodation. My room was clean and quiet. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location was ideal. And finally, the price was just right. I highly recommend this quaint little Inn.

The Rustic is amazing value in a town of very overpriced accommodation (during the season). The truly rustic exterior hides comfortable 60s style but recently refurbished rooms with kitchen, including microwave. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It’s one block back from the center of town in a quiet street. A pool, a convenient laundry and easy parking. I carry a lot of gear so it's a nice change to be able to park in front of the room. Why pay double for a franchise name.
