“Berlin, Maryland...a nice afternoon”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

Berlin Maryland is a small town just west of Ocean City, Maryland and also a short drive from the Delaware beach communities. The downtown area has a variety of eateries, antique stores, galleries and other boutiques, offering those items that one expects to find away from shopping malls and large box stores. I stumbled into the "Baked Dessert" cafe and gallery, which was actually one block off Main Street and was treated to wonderful in- house baked cheesecake and locally roasted coffee. Berlin has ample parking areas and it is a quiet respite from the crowds of the beach communities and traffic on nearby highways.

“Nice little town”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

Nice little town, interesting shops, even found a train shop. There were some interesting finds in some of the shops, but they have a lot of the usual "Made in China" stuff somewhat overpriced but you can sift thru that and find some neat things. After once thru, I was done and a day is all you really need to tour main street. I would recommend planning some other activities if you will be there for any lenght of time. Its very charming, but missing a pharmacy/general store in walking distance. I had forgotten my sunglasses and had to drive to a rite-aid to get some. Not a big deal, but be prepared. Its a quaint town, kinda like Mayberry but they seem to roll up the sidewalks at night. This was fine, we needed to chill. So we sat on the porch in the Atlantic Hotel and had a drink and relaxed. This is a great little town for that. We were fortunate to be in town for their car show, which was an overflow from Ocean City. It was a nice perk to our trip.
We enjoyed our visit. It was a nice, quiet place to relax and wind down.

“Quiet, charming, and refreshing”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

Imagine going back in time to days when you could sleep with doors unlocked, everybody knew you by your first name, and days went by slower. This is Berlin. Narrow streets, brick faced Victorian style buildings, lovely green gardens, farmer's markets, and shops filled with things from days gone by. Everything from antiques and new furniture to bistros and quaint bakeries. It's a must stop for us every time we're in the area.

“Charming Historic Town”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

I've visited Berlin many times. My favorite stores are the multi-dealer antiques shops. There's something for every taste! If you prefer boutiques or art, Berlin has you covered. Some day, I may even stay at the historic hotel in town!

“Short drive from Ocean City”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

We were in OC, MD for the weekend and decided to take the 20 minute drive to Berlin. Very quaint, small town just off of Route 50. I love to browse through antique shops so I was in heaven. Many shops and vendors to see, as well as restaurants. Definitely worth a visit.
