Waited 15 minutes and were ignored by waiters. Finally menus given to table who just sat down. So can not comment on food. We were told to sit anywhere, which we did. We had 2 servers pass by us and were completely ignored. We left.

We recently ate lunch at the Atlantic Hotel restaurant in Berlin Md. It was recommended to us by the locals who said the food was all prepared in-house and was reasonable and very good.
It was delicious and definitely prepared in-house.
However, we arrived a 1:15 with a young baby. We planned to walk around the town after lunch. We ordered sandwiches- one of which was the special of the day but still a sandwich. Our food arrived at 2:20 after several calls to the waitress and finally to the bar manager because apparently there was no general manager on duty.
We think it would be a good idea to have a manager on duty on week-ends to make sure that the kitchen staff actually prepares the food. After all, if you are voted the coolest small town in America you should probably expect some increased tourist activity.
Needless to say, by the time our food arrived and we ate, the baby had fallen asleep and we were too late to go walking around.

This gem of a small town could easily be driven by. We decided to get off the highway and try the little town to see if we could find something to eat; we found this amazing restaurant. Reggae music, linen napkins and outstanding food. With a Big crowd in town, so our waitress, Patty, explained that the kitchen was a little slow because of the number of people being served and she suggested that if we were in a hurry that we might order items that did not require cooking. My wife ordered an incredibly good quiche and I ordered the Islander sandwich (a delicious, mountainous stack of turkey, ham and Swiss cheese on rye). The food was amazing and the ambience was perfect. The service was helpful and professional. This is the kind of restaurant that could draw you back to a small town again.

The quiche was about 6 inches thick with a very small amount of spinach in the top half inch only. It was supposed to be full of feta, tomato, and spinach. I had one singular cherry tomato, and I saw no evidence of feta. However, my husband got the Cuban style fish tacos and they were delicious. I liked the creamy balsamic dressing on my salad too. One more thing, the service was VERY slow.

What a great place. Live music. Excellent food. There were four of us each with a different choice for dinner and loved them all.
