Different Mexican food than I am used to in Roswell, NM but oh so plentiful and delicious. Quite busy at lunch time but then the locals love it too! Would go again.

Violas is charming for its down-to-earth lack of attitude and delivering on the basics. Small, family run, very pleasant staff. The food is straight down the middle. Basically northern new mexico diner food. Nothing I have had here yet screams OMG, To Die For, but if you order a burger, you'll get a burger. Order enchiladas, you'll get enchiladas. You get the picture. Ir's all served up at great prices by a friendly wait staff.

we came in for an ealy lunch, and we did good. we came in at 11:25 and found a tablr right away. by 12:00 the place was packed full with a line of about 10 people waiting to be seated. the service was understandably a bit slow, but the food was excellent. I personaly didn't like the ice-T.
come early coz at lunch time the place is packed!!

We were actually looking for a different restaurant but got turned around and happened to find Viola's - turns out it was a lucky break. There's nothing fancy about this place, but the food was exceptional. Everything was fresh and tasted like what you'd expect to get from your grandma's house, if your grandma made excellent New Mexican dishes. Loved the posole as a side instead of the typical rice. Both the red and green chile were delicious. Service was fast and friendly. We'll definitely stop in again the next time we're in Los Alamos.
