Spent four nights there with my wife for my mother-in-laws funeral. Everything about the stay was average except for the fact that the staff was incapable of fixing the TV in our room. Granted we did not spend much time beyond sleeping there and a few hours every morning after waking, but the morning after our arrival we told the front desk staff that our TV did not work (just got snow on the screen). When we returned late that night and it still did not work, we called the front desk and someone came to our room 'to show us how it worked' but that person agreed that it was non-functional and tried to replace the TV but did not have the tools needed and said it would be done the next day. Well, late the next evening we returned to find nothing had been done, but it was late and we were tired so we did not contact the desk that night. The next morning we again told the front desk on our way to the funeral that it still did not work; when we returned from the funeral to change clothes the person at the front desk said our floor was getting new TVs that day and it would be taken care of. But alas, once again we retuned late that night to find the same old TV, still not working. We checked out the next morning and told the front desk about our disappointment that we gave them far too many opportunities to make something that did not work 'right' with no results, but that they might want to fix it before renting that room again - no offer was made to adjust our bill for the non-working TV.
If you ignore the fact that they can't seem to fix something as basic as a non-working TV for three straight days, the room was quiet and dark at night, comfortable enough for our needs while we were there. The free internet and free breakfast were typical for this type of hotel. However, next time we visit my father-in-law (who resides in a retirement home in Los Alamos) we will stay elsewhere.
