“Get the cookie!”
Reviewed 2 August 2014

Locals said it was great and they were right. Something for everyone and reasonably priced. The wait staff remembers the locals and calls them by name. Cute little place right on the main drag.

“Just OK”
Reviewed 31 July 2014

Stopped in for their wkly burger special and was not impressed. I liked the fact that you could have it cooked any temperature but the meat was heavily seasoned possibly just too much salt. The burgundy sauce had almost no flavor, I did detect some salty beef broth in it. Food and bar service was slow and average. Waited for a table at the bar but never was acknowledged or even asked if we would like a drink.

“Great little Hole in the Wall”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

Really yummy food. Our server Amanda was helpful and HAPPY. The Cookie dessert was unique and to die for. The food had a good presentation and flavor to match. I liked that they did not Nickle and dime you to death. Will eat there again next year. A big variety on the menu! My family of four really enjoyed it!

“Great fried fish and tarter sauce!!”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

We like to find a local place to eat when traveling not a chain resturant. This was perfect!! Small, family friendly, lots of character, and the food was amazing. Our waitress was always on the go but never forgot about us and made sure we were well taken care of at all times! We ordered the special which was fried catfish with fries, jalapeno hush puppies and tarter sauce. You got one hot fresh panko crusted catfish fillet with a homemade tarter sauce that was out of the world, i even dipped my fries into it. The price was reasonable too... we ate for about $25.00 for two. If you make it to Gunnison make sure you stop by here and eat. Its downtown and afterwards you can take a nice stroll along the city shops.

“Gotta try the meatloaf!!!”
Reviewed 23 July 2014 via mobile

Awesome restaurant, family style with a bar. Friendly staff. I was alone for early dinner, sat at the bar. Most welcoming, from the time I walked in. Totally what I expected in a small mountain town in Colorado. Menu is full of choices, but the Meatloaf is great. Prepared almost like a ball, sitting on top of a heap of tasty mashed potatoes, smothered in very flavorful, chunky gravy. The fresh baked chocolate chip cookie the size of a plate, alamode with vanilla ice cream was too much, so I took it to go. Great food, people, and atmosphere. Definite must while in Gunnison!
