This was an awesome experience! The staff helped to make the set-up of our late arrival very enjoyable and problem free! I coordinated with Terry an Bambi to have chocolate covered strawberries along with a bottle of champagne awaiting us when we checked into the room! When their normal supplier was no longer providing the strawberries, Terry found a vendor in the city who did! She called and kept me informed of her progress and assured me everything would be fine! They did not disappoint me! The king bed room was spacious and very comfortable! John, the bellman on duty when we arrived was extremely professional, and polite! The entire staff was excellent! The hotel provides free valet parking and its location is in the heart of downtown!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are large! The rates are cheaper during the week!

we stayed in the Haywood Park Hotel twice last summer. when we come back, we won't even think about staying anywhere else.
The staff is attentive, professional and attends to details
The free valet parking is a big plus; the location is so central you really don't need you car unless your leaving downtown.
We didn't know what to expect since the hotel once was a department store and the elevator announcement what department used to be on the floor your staying but the rooms were large and comfortable. The bathroom was huge and modern.
The stay goes the extra distance; they turn your bed down and leave a small piece of chocolate each night.
It couldn't have been better

Room Tip: we enjoyed a room facing the street- it was an interesting scene

We loved everything about this hotel. First, it is located in the center of the downtown section of Asheville. You can easily walk to a variety of restaurants. The Biltmore Estate is a short 15 minute drive and golf courses are 20 minutes away. There is free valet parking available.
The hotel itself was wonderful. Upon checking in, we were offered a glass of champagne. Our room was large and modern in design (rm 204). A king bed, couch, desk, large TV , a good deal of luggage and still loads of room to walk around!! Although we faced a large intersection, there was no noise whatsoever. The bathroom is large with a double sink.
Rooms seem to be located in 4 corners of the hotel. The center section on each floor is a large seating area. If desired, you can leave your room and comfortably sit in this area. (Perfect for those who are early risers with spouses who sleep in).
This hotel was once a Department Store. To remind us of it's history, they have kept the pre-recorded messages in the elevator. So upon reaching your floor, you might hear: "Second floor, menswear"!
The staff was extraordinary. They answered all our questions, directed us to good restaurants, and assisted us with directions.
Would we recommend this hotel? Absolutely!! And, if we're ever in Asheville again, this will definitely be our hotel of choice.

We stayed a night at the Haywood after shopping Asheville. Our room double queen bedroom with with sitting area was HUGE...room 209. Check in was easy. The staff very friendly and helpful.
The room was beyond my expectation. The bathroom had a shower and a bathtub. There was a dressing area outside with bathroom with a sink. It was a perfect arrangement for 2 ladies trying o get dressed for dinner.
We at at Isa's downstairs. It was delicious!
The beds were comfortable wtih lots of pillows. There was no street noise.
The Haywood is in a former department store. The elevator says " Second Floor, Menswear." There are display cases on each floor and in the lobby of clothing found during the renovation,. This makes the Haywood unique, too.
An excellent choice for staying in downtown Asheville.

We were out in Asheville for Business and my boss has stayed here previously and suggested we stay at the Haywood Park, it had been awhile since she was here so wasn't sure how it would be, but I was pleasantly surprised, it was awesome! From check in and the glass of champagne to the spacious clean room, loved the little mini lobby on our floor. Loved the old department store charm. The Services was also very good, people were cheery and they seemed to really like their jobs. We tried Isa's and it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time, the food was terrific, the service was awesome and the wine was just delish. Very relaxing. Got back to the room and loved seeing the little truffle on my pillow......amazing! Also Loved the little goodie bag upon departure. I can't wait to go back to visit this client again and you can be sure I will be staying at the Haywood Park Hotel.

My husband and I just spent 4 nights at the Haywood, looking for a relaxing getaway, tour Asheville and we were not disappointed. Our car was parked by free valet service. The staff are all friendly and helpful, we loved our room #403 spacious, very clean and comfortable bed. The Grey Line Trolley tour stops at the hotel and there is a kiosk inside to purchase your tickets and the gal was wonderful answering our questions. Great bonus! We loved the adjoining restaurant Isa's Bistro for dinner with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. For breakfast each morning, we ate at the Haywood Park Cafe, which is next door in the Atrium. Simple menu, but fit our needs with great coffee. Otherwise, out the front door of the hotel is everything Asheville has to offer. We, also, loved the uniqueness of the hotel with it's history and charm of what use to be a department store. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: We loved the 4th floor. Remember you are staying in the city so there is going to be some street no...

I was travelling from Nashville to Raleigh and due to traffic accident we were diverted and ended up coming through Asheville - literally through the city and not the bypass. My daughter was driving and was exhausted after driving through small mountain roads as part of diversion. Literally drove up to the Haywood Park Hotel by chance - and decided to see if there was any 'room at the Inn'. Good move.
We were given a glass of champagne to revive us while the valet parked the car and took bags up to room. Great room with sitting area and very spacious. A really pleasant surprise. Rather pricey - even with a reduction in rate as this was a 'last minute' booking the cost for one night was around $250 with taxes.
However it was worth it - the hotel is a converted department store - rather fun as the recording in the elevator is reminiscent of the days when there was an elevator operator announcing the function of each floor.
Asheville is always a fun place to visit so our detour had a happy ending.

Room Tip: We did not check out any other rooms but the room we were given was really nice - quiet even though...
