This is my first review. I loved this hotel. Everyone was friendly. The breakfast was great with nice eggs and smoked sausage that you don't see that often. Everything was clean and replaced quickly. The hostess was talking to the guests and handing out crayons and coloring pages to the kids. The manager whose name was Barbara asked if we enjoyed our stay and seemed to really care. We will definitely be back to this hotel.

First thing we noticed was no refridgerator or microwave. This is the first Hampton I have been in without these. From reading the previous reviews management is aware of the lackluster breakfast. I totally agree. My opinion is it is in the prep, not the quality of food. The eggs were in very hard balls the size of marbles. I blew it off untill the second morning when I lifted the lid and they were prepared the same way. Also the first time I have seen Polish Sausage on a breakfast bar in the south. Needless to say we had very good waffles I made myself.

I am sorry that you were disappointed about not having a fridge or microwave, we do have the ability to store any guest items that need to be kept cold with access 24 hours a day. The breakfast smoked sausages are an upgraded item that not alot of hotels select because of their cost, but we want to provide the best breakfast experience possible. I am aware of the scrambled eggs, they are re-thermed here, and we are trying to figure out with our food supplier why this is happening. It is a major focus of my attention and that of my team. I apologize that you experienced this, I hope that the next time you visit our beautiful city you will give me the opportunity to show you a better scrambled egg. Barbara Kish / GM

Stayed Oct 22 and 23. Very nice, clean and comfortable. Great area, lots of restaurants nearby. Mall is less than a mile. Our room was nice, loved the shower pressure! Only complaint would be the breakfast choices. Just not very good, but typical for hotel free breakfast. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bed was extremely comfortable. I love the coffee and cookies in afternoon.

This was a busy place, with many people coming in looking for a room on a Saturday night. I was impressed with the patience of the front desk staff, trying to deal with lots of inquiries. A typical Hampton--a little hard to get to with the weekend road closures, but follow the signs, and turn off the GPS. I thought the pool area especially nice, with lounge chairs, lots of windows, and an exit to the outdoor patio area. The pool and hot tub temperature was a little cool--really too cold to do leisurely swimming in the pool. If we had been there longer, with children who wanted to swim, we would have said something, but for one night I was content to sit longer in the hot tub. We ate at the nearby Moose Cafe and enjoyed some Southern cooking. NC Arboretum and Blue Ridge Parkway are very close.

I stay at Hampton Inns and this was a good one. Bed very comfortable. Room quiet. Staff attentive. Easy drive to Biltmore estates. Restaurants are nearby. The only downside was the free breakfast was just not up to Hampton Inn standards. Hot items were barely warm both mornings. The quality of the food selection was below par for a typical Hampton.

Room Tip: Room on first floor on west side was very quiet even though it was near the indoor pool.

I've stayed at this Hampton Inn numerous times over the past 6 months. My last stay was two nights ago. I checked in late (around 10 p.m.) in the middle of a pouring rain. The young lady at the front desk was very quick to get me into a room and even suggested me taking one on the third floor rather than the forth just because she knew I didn't want to be by the elevator.

The room was clean, the beds comfortable and well stocked with nice towels, etc. The only problem I had was the sound of the water (shower?) from the room next door was disturbing and I wasn't able to get a later check-out (possibly because they were sold out for that night). All in all, those were minor complaints and I'd highly recommend this hotel when traveling to the Asheville area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front side of the hotel so you're not hearing the noise from I26 all night...

I try to stay at Hampton Inns whenever possible and chose this hotel for a long weekend for my husband & myself while visiting Ashville. The location is good, near the interstate and convenient to both The Biltmore & downtown Ashville. The hotel itself was very nice, clean and modern. It was very crowded over the weekend and I sense that the hotel was not prepared for the rush. The breakfast (free at Hampton Inns) was fine on Sunday morning but seemed a bit sparse compared to other Hamptons I have stayed at. Monday morning was a different story, it was very crowded and the poor staff had a hard time keeping up with everything. They were out of many items, including fruit and the presentation was a mess. Had this been my first time at a Hampton Inn I would have been very disappointed and probably not returned. Hopefully this was just a one time thing and the hotel will learn from it, if you are sold out the night before, please make sure you have enough breakfast for everyone!
