We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was very nice. I got my reservation on the road and our room was ready when we arrived. The front desk clerk was very helpful and kind. We needed some spoons and he helped us find some. Thumbs up!!!

Room Tip: This hotel was very easy to find!!

Our family stay was pleasant due to the friendly staff and cleanliness of the hotel. Even though we stayed in the first floor, we had a very quiet stay. The hotel is conveniently located, and very easy to find. We received great service and a quality stay for a great price.

Very clean and pleasant hotel with comfortable beds. The front desk staff was very friendly and informative. Justin did a particularly nice job with suggestions and directions to local restaurants. Only complaint was the coffee. Really bad!!

I really enjoyed staying here. It was clean and convenient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!! The room was very clean and had some great mountain views on the rear side. There was a cracker barrel and Dairy Queen just down the hill which was great!

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view. Ours was beautiful!!

Our party of three were in Asheville for 3 nights for a wedding; we reserved two rooms, a double & a king. Requested highest floor away from elevator as we always do, typically helps to keep down the noise. Due to construction & a delayed flight, we didn't arrive until almost 9 p.m. on Friday night. Very easy to find, the hotel was booked solid; we wen't alone checking in even at this time of the evening. Parking lot has adequate spaces & is well lit.

Check in went smoothly; very nice, & helpful, staff. Lobby seemed to be in good condition; seating area to the side that always seemed to be occupied, & a breakfast area at the far end of the lobby area when you enter. We received adjoining room (not requested but fine) but 2nd floor & just a few doors down from the elevator (disappointed). We did, however, have a very nice mountain view. But, age of the hotel is a bonus - the rooms were VERY quiet. Rarely, maybe 2 to 3 times in our stay, did we hear anyone above or next to us.

Rooms were clean & in good order. No closet but a wardrobe; inside is the iron & board. It's space limitation, but wardrobe in the double room was little more than half the size of the wardrobe in king room. With adjoining rooms, we were able to use both wardrobes to their fullest. With just 1 bed, king room was comfortable. Obviously, with 2 double beds & furniture, this room was somewhat cramped. I did all our ironing in king room where there was enough room to set up the ironing board.

Desk area with a nice amount of (much appreciated) outlets; smart to do when hotel was last updated. Coffee maker, mini fridge, & microwave - all clean; we always enjoy having these available. Three dresser drawers were in the piece that also housed appliances; newer television on top. The bed side table lamp had outlets, great for plugging in your phone, chargers, etc.

The bathroom has one sink outside of the bathroom proper. Small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, & lotion along with face & bath bars. A nice amount of towels; not plush bath towels but decent sized towels that were in good shape. Through the pocket door is the toilet & shower. A little bit of a time warp, even though updated in past years. Nice shower head, decent sized shower, but the shower shell has been cracked & intended repair did not keep. This area shows the most wear & needs a little attention. An issue I have with 95% of the hotels we stay in is the lack of hooks/bars to hang damp towels AND the placement of the storage racks. I detest having clean towels over a toilet; I always remove the towels from the toilet area. Hopefully the next remodel has a few towel bars &/or hooks outside the toilet area. That way I would be able to have a place to hang & dry a towel enabling me to use it for more than 1 day. As it is, it's not possible to hang a towel to dry away from the toilet. :-(

I like firm beds, husband & son do not - I was happy. Multiple pillows on beds; linens were in good shape but are just starting to show some wear. Duvets on beds seemed to be very new; we like to keep our room cold so they got a lot of use at night.

On our 2nd day we requested early service to our room as we were returning at 2 to get ready for the evening wedding. The front desk was accommodating & the rooms were done when we returned at 1:45 p.m. The housekeeping staff we did encounter were friendly & helpful.

We ate breakfast at the hotel 1 of 3 mornings. The pastries tasted as if they had been frozen & thawed. The scrambled eggs were perfectly round; obviously factory made, frozen & thawed. Basically the same items served at most hotels that offer a free hot breakfast. Idea is appreciated but it's not an easy one to pull off well (at any hotel). The breakfast area was large & could seat a good amount of people.

I expected to receive the quality & amenities of a budget hotel but was pleasantly surprised to receive more at Sleep Inn West. If I could, I'd give 3.75 stars. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

Room Tip: Away from the elevator.

We stayed here after visiting the Smoky Mountains and on our way to Winston Salem so it was right off 40 and easy to find. The hotel was super nice with a full hot breakfast. The room was super nice but smaller that I expected. It had an updated room air conditioning so it was easy to get the perfect temperature. The lamps also have plug ins on them so you don't have to unplug the lamp and clock to plug in your phones! Our room didn't have a tub but a nice stand up shower. Great hotel for the money!

We split our stay here and had good experiences both times. We spent a Thurs and Fri night and then Sunday night in Asheville. The desk clerks were ALL very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area was spacious and very clean. The selections were what you would expect, nothing super special there. Our room was very nice, clean, and had plenty of linens. The shower was really nice, good pressure and clean. The mananger/owner even offered to call ahead to the Choice Hotel we were staying Saturday night. I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area! Not real close to the Biltmore, but an easy drive.

Room Tip: you can ask for the "scenic view" if you want to look out from your room at the mountains...
