This a neat piece of history. We did the night time tour to see all of the lights. We then took the tour again in the daytime. It is a neat place. You get to learn a little of our history. I recommend paying the extra for the audio tour. It is very informative. The grounds are expansive and beautiful.

This Estate and grounds are enthralling...huge and beautiful. I went at Christmas season so was decorated for the holidays. The rooms and furnishings and decorations are immense and showy...The Vanderbilts were certainly very wealthy and they liked to show it off...the architecture is a misture of so many different styles you get lost in it but thats how it was then...I guess...The conservatory and grounds are wonderful...I walked to Bass Pond and it was a truly natural walk with a babbling brook and many wooden bridges and beautiful foliage and fauna...If you ever have a chance ...visit...you will be amazed I was...and I have been to Europe and sen castles and such...this would be an American Castle.

We learned so much about the biltmore house during the self-guided audio tour. We set our own pace. Glad we took the audio tour before the candlelight tour because the audio is not offered during the candlelight tour. It is self guided also but we had learned so much about the house in the day audio tour.

This is the second time that my wife and I have toured the Biltmore House during the night Christmas display. It is always a great tour with the decorations, carolers and tour guide information. It is well worth the cost if you are a Christmas decoration fan. The gift shop prices are not out of line for the value. We ate at the Stable café before the tour and had a relaxing dinner. Put this on your Bucket list as a place to go as one of America's Castles.

We loved the Biltmore Estate. We hated the cost to get in and prices they have in gift shops there. It would be so much better if it was more family affordable. Restaurant's there are very expensive.
