We ended up traveling with our two dogs and were so thankful that we had booked the Lucerne. It was perfect for us and for them. Walks in the neighborhood were great and if the dogs barked, it didn't bother anyone in the room next door. It's an easy drive to town, but when you come "home" you feel like you are miles away in the woods. We've told everyone we know about how great our stay was. And, the extra little touches were great-- like the delicious cookies... If you're deciding between a hotel or the Chalets, having your own place is worth it!

We stayed in the Lucerne chalet in February. It was a wonderful weekend and couldn’t have been better with the toasty fireplace to keep us warm as well as all the amenities to pamper us and feel like we just stepped into our own home. We had everything we needed with the wifi, TV, stereo and the bedrooms were beautifully decorated and cozy. Judy has thought of everything with the kitchen stocked with coffee beans and grinder as well as basic condiments, herbs, spices and everything one needs to prepare a home cooked meal. There is also a guest book with maps and a great deal of information on things to do in Asheville and restaurant menus. We wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of more things to do. We hope to return during a different season next time.

We liked Swiss Chalets a lot. It's a country home on the top of small mountains overlooking Asheville. It feels far away, surrounded by trees and singing birds, with a good view of mountain ranges surrounding Asheville. But it's actually quite close to downtown Asheville (A long walk down to town, a long haul back up) so for us it was the perfect location - we could go into town for food, music, yoga, etc without a long ride in the car, while still staying in a nice place in the country.

The chalet was well maintained, very comfortable and plenty of space. It has TV, music (with radio set to a great station while we were there - WNCW,) Wifi, great beds and couches, a fully equiped kitchen, and a really nice porch to read and look at the mountains.

We'd highly recommend this place if you are visiting Asheville and want to feel far away and still be close.

What a great place to stay. Super clean and well maintained, with the owner even including a gift certificate to a great bakery in Weaverville. Beautiful up in the trees, but it is close to the main highway, and I am not sure how beautiful it will be during the winter with the tree's being bare.

We enjoyed our stay. Asheville Swiss Chalets was convenient, comfortable, child and pet friendly. Our son was 11 months at the time and we didn't want to stay in a motel where he would be crawling around on nasty carpet. Also we needed to be able to go back and forth from town for nap time. Overall, it was a great experience. They thought of all the little details and were really accommodating as far a booking. The only thing that I could complain about was that the bed was SUPER soft...but I sleep on a board at home, and our chalet was a bit cramped for 2 adults, a baby and a dog. But I guess I should have booked earlier and I could have gotten a bigger one!

My husband and I loved the place. The chalet was like an extension of our home, clean, bright, comfortable. The view is spectacular. Everyone is extremely helpful and nice. Judy and Celeste, who manage the place, couldn't be any nicer. In 3 minutes we were close to restaurants, mall, gas station. If you want to spend your vacation in paradise and be a tad close to all the temptations, that's the place!!
I wanted a White Christmas and I had it in Paradise!!!

My two dogs and I made the maiden voyage in the Little Zurich. We stayed at the original Zurich last year and thought that couldn't be beat. With the Little Zurich they have out done themselves. We loved the open floor plan with lots of comfy places to sit and read or watch televison on the flat screens. The many windows brought in the sunshine and beautiful views of downtown Asheville. The dogs absolutely loved the fenced in yard, as did I for the convenience of it. Arriving a day after the worst snow storm in 13 years the owners went out of their way to make sure we were safe and warm. (we had asked for snow and they delivered). We will definitely be back next year!
