My husband and I stayed here during the first weekend in October. The hotel is in a great location if you don't mind driving to the downtown area, or to Biltmore Village, etc. But it is right off of the highway and easy to find. The hotel itself is nice and clean on the inside, but very small and lacks most amenities (but the price is conducive to this and is very reasonable). The rooms are very small, but again new, and very clean. The horrible part is that the walls are ridiculously thin. I had read that in another review and thought perhaps it was an isolated incident, and we really are not that hard to please. However, the people next to us had their TV on, and we could hear everything. Not that big of a deal except that they weren't even in the room. When they did arrive, they might as well have just crawled into bed beside of us, because that's how loud they were. Seriously, we have traveled a lot and realize what we should expect staying in a hotel room noise-wise. This was beyond the beyonds. We phoned the front desk for 20 minutes before finally getting someone to answer, and when she did she mentioned something about having to get breakfast ready? We finally just took the elevator downstairs to talk to someone, and the Manager came up to speak with them and offered to allow them a meeting room downstairs so they could hang out down there. Enablers ;) So, just a heads up, even if your neighbors are not tailgating next door, you can at least expect above average disturbances because the walls are truly that thin. Other than that, it was a nice place.

Room Tip: We didn't eat it, but they had a complimentary continental breakfast that looked pretty decent...

Thank you so much for taking time to review the Lodge. It was great to hear you appreciated the building, location, cleanliness and the staff. We are sorry you experienced some noise next door. We do try and police the noise, and we have a no tolerance after 10pm. We hope that we reacted accordingly by allowing those "night owls" to use the conference room to celebrate, thus giving guests around them a quiet nights sleep. Please continue to keep us in your travel plans.

We stayed here a couple of years ago in July, 2010 when the hotel was pretty much brand new. We chose it because it was one of the few places with rates under $150 per night (I think we paid right around a hundred bucks) in the Asheville area. It was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the room, while a bit small, was just what we needed - a nice bed, bathroom & TV - after a day of touring downtown Asheville & up & down the Blue Ridge Parkway.

We stayed 2 nights and was very satisfied. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable beds. The continental breakfast and morning USA newspaper was a plus. Close to the highway entrance, so very handy location. No on site restaurant but we ate at the Longhorn Steak House and it was excellent. Would difinitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator. We noticed there was a room right in the elevator alcove.

Stayed here after touring the Biltmore (well worth it). Nice room, friendly staff. Took a taxi back to go to Antler Village that evening so we didn't have to drive back to the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was good.

Stayed here in August. The location is a little off the beaten path but still very close to Biltmore Village and downtown. The rooms were nice and the breakfast was good. My only complaint was that it was a little noisy as there were a bunch if young people staying there for some event.

Very friendly staff and just a down rite nice property. The indoor pool is a nice touch. The rooms are full of all the nice things you expect in a nice hotel. The location is great and so is Asheville.

Room Tip: Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, etc. make this a really nice stay.

We stayed in the hotel one night for a trip to Dupont State Forest and Asheville.

Pros-right off I-40, appears to be pretty new, breakfast was above average, good price for Asheville on a weekend

Cons-walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors (bring ear plugs), some spots on the carpet, the room had a mild odor
