We stayed at the Brookstone Lodge for two nights during our trip to Biltmore. Nice place to stay convenient to downtown and the interstate ramp. Parking could be very tight if the place was full but since we were there in the middle of the week wasn't an issue. Front desk was always very pleasant and made a point to speak with a smile every time we came and went. Will stay there again on our next trip through the area.

What a nice, clean and friendly hotel. We will definitely return. Only 5 minutes to the Biltmore gate and village, 15 minutes from all downtown has to offer. Pool is clean and well maintained and staff are friendly, they may not be super hip on all the city has to offer, but hey, half the fun is discovery on your own, right?
Also we booked the "Christmas at Biltmore package"And it was fabulous. The chocolates went well with the hot tub in our room.

We stayed here two nights while visiting the Biltmore Candlelight Christmas event.

Pros: The hotel is very convenient to the Biltmore and despite being very close to I-40 we heard no traffic noise from our room. The lobby staff was kind, helpful, and offered many suggestions for restaurants that we took them up on and were pleasantly surprised. Our king room was spacious with a fridge, microwave and sitting area. The bathroom was decent size and the makeup towel was a thoughtful touch.

Cons: Neither of us got a good night's sleep while at the Brookstone Lodge. The bed was VERY hard and the pillows were like rocks. Our first night, we called down to the lobby to ask for more pillows and they said we would need to get them ourselves. The second night, we went down to select softer pillows and were told by the staff that if we wanted soft pillows we could go to Wal-Mart and buy soft ones for $3. Seriously?

The AC was very loud and came on inconsistently. Each time we were nearly asleep, it'd start roaring again.

The rooms had hardly any available outlets. There was a desk in the room (ideal for a laptop) with no outlet anywhere. Bedside tables had no outlets either. We ended up charging our electronics on the floor next to the window.

I was also put off by the appearance of the service staff. They all wore matching scrubs, but the uniforms were very dirty, stained, and were ripped in several places. It seemed unprofessional and sloppy.

Overall, this wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It's hard to beat the proximity to the Biltmore. However, it is not a hotel I will stay at again nor one I will recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: We were right next to the stairwell on the side by the Fun Depot and had little to no noise.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. I like to share these with our staff. We have always been known for prompt, courteous service and we intend to stay that way. Being of service is our motto. And we do have several extra pillows in different makes in an effort to please nearly everyone. We hope to see you again!

I booked this room on a whim as a date night for my husband and I. I got a great rate, and chose a room with a jacuzzi tub. The rooms were lovely, hotel staff very helpful, and quick. There was a lot of noise in the hall due to a youth group from a church on a trip, but they didn't bother us. The hotel is centrally located, a short drive to tons of restaurants, stores, and movie theaters. We were very impressed with our whole experience, and are going to start making this an annual weekend getway.

We stayed two separate days over the Thanksgiving week/end...we had a wonderful room on Thursday Nov. 28, 2013 with a jacuzzi tub and King bed..the hot tub and the pool were nice and we enjoyed our time relaxing in the hot tube, I swam in the pool and it was quite and nice.
The staff were helpful and when we requested a few extra pillows, they delivered the pillows right up..
We came back on Saturday, Nov 30, 2013, it was a last minute decision to come back and stay, we called and yes they has a room available, again they were wonderful, and accommodating to our needs, we went back to the hot tub and relax after a long day of sight-seeing, they have a small shop for snacks and drinks, they also have a wonderful fireplace with couch and chairs..the breakfast is also hot and more then enough...We have decided anytime we are in Asheville, NC we will stay there each time, and will recommend this to everyone..price wise was fair, and they do take AARP...
