This hotel had the best staff that I have ever encountered. From manager to laundry staff, their customer service rating is gold star. We were there for my son's wedding and had a dinner at the hotel in their meeting room. Everyone pitched in to make our event a great one. Roger found warming trays for me. The staff allowed us use of their kitchen and coffeee service. I felt like a guest at my friends home. We had a wonderful stay there. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Asheville, please consider this home away from home!

We appreciate all of your feedback and great comments! This is what I share with my staff as being "fruits from your labor". Each member of our team works hard to give this kind of an experience to our guests! And about feeling like your at home? Well, that's exactly how we want you to feel! We love wedding parties, reunions and group tours are always welcome!

We stayed 3 nights in the Brookstone Lodge in the Petite Room. I know that people said that is was small (and it is!), but if you where going to be traveling the whole day, this is the perfect room for the price.

The room was very clean. Be prepared to either take the stairs (which are so rarely used, it still smells new in the stairwell), or wait for the elevator in the morning.

One issue:
The beds are very firm. My wife says they are hard! Either way, they are definitely not plush beds.

The line for breakfast was long on occasions, but this just speaks volumes for their free breakfast (sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy, fresh waffles with waffle iron). It was pretty good. The staff was very friendly as well.

All in all, it was a great place to stay and I would recommend it for the budget minded traveller who is looking value with their money.

My wife and I stayed at the Brookstone Lodge recently to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We booked months ago and the package we booked is no longer offered through them, the Escorted Wine Tour Package. When we booked it, it was described as a package where the escorts would pick us up at our hotel and drop us back off at our hotel. I called the Brookstone Lodge about a week prior to our arrival to confirm everything and was told that everything was still in line. Upon arrival for our stay, we were told that we would have to drive to another location to meet the escorts for our wine tour, that they had suddenly changed their practice a month earlier, after being told a week ago that they were still coming to pick us up there. The wine escort company was described as inflexible and rude by the hotel staff. So rather than deal with the hotel anymore on this issue, I decided to call the other company directly. They were just the opposite as described, they came to our hotel to pick us up, my wife required a vegetarian meal and they accommodated her there. They were more than friendly. When we got back, we told the hotel manager, Roger, how wonderful they were. He again put the blame back on them, saying how hard they were to work with. We were left with the impression that it was the hotel, and not the wine company, who was the problem.

The majority of the staff we dealt with were not the friendliest of people. There was one very nice girl, but the others were not very friendly at all, some of them were down right rude. The hotel itself was very nice, though. The room was tidy, the bathroom was nice enough. It's very comparable to other hotels, like a Hampton Inn. The breakfast was very similar to the Hampton Inn, also. The dining area was very small, but there was another room across the hall where you could go eat.

My husband & I just returned from a trip to Asheville this week. We stayed in the petite room for 3 nights. We were warned from the get go that it was very small, but we didn't really care, since we didn't plan on staying in the room much. I don't recommend that room if there are 2 people & you have a lot of luggage. It was really nice, but just to small for 2 people. The hotel is really close to The Biltmore. It's a good 3 or so miles from downtown. The free breakfast was great! Had a lot to choose from and tasted good. Overall the hotel staff is very friendly and was very clean.

Stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed our visit. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable. Great beds. Towels were not very soft.

The staff at the front desk could have been a little more attentive. They tended to be more involved in talking to each other, cell phones, etc.

The location was good in that it only took us no more than 10 minutes to arrive anywhere in Asheville. The area around the hotel is nothing to speak of, but many of the chain restaurants are located in the middle of strip mall areas; so this was better in that regards.

We would definitely recommend this hotel, especially on its cleanliness.

Our stay was pretty good. In light of the recent "bed bug scare", I did alot of research for this trip. The room was vey clean but small, we stayed in 407 which was next to the elevator. We checked in later in the evening and the individual at the front desk gave us the impression we had interrupted them...not very welcoming. Really, no one (front desk/breakfast staff) addressed us except for housekeeping...she was very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel, but it could use some southern hospitality.

I actually appreciated the fact that the hotel was right off of the highway as my husband and I didn't intend to spend our entire vacation in downtown Asheville. We were able to get to the other sites we wanted to visit easily without any traffic. That being said, it is maybe a 5 minute drive to ge to downtown Asheville and there is a ton of stuff closer, including the Biltmore. We were on the 4th floor so we didn't have any of the noise problems that I've seen other people mention, however our matress was very hard, which we're not used to and so that was a little uncomfortable. With the exception of the mattress the room was fantastic, honestly better than I expected for the price. The room and the bathroom, honestly the whole hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly. the only thing that we didn't like was that the exercise room shared a wall with the pool with a big window so when you're working out you have people watching you, just a little awkward. Other than that its a great hotel for a really inexpensive rate.
