Being Hunger Games fans, My daughter, niece and I found out that the Hotel Indigo was where some of the cast had stayed while filming. The price was reasonable but compared to other hotels and amenities, disappointing. No frig in room, beds were okay and no pool or spa. The one thing I disliked the most was the vented bathroom door which you can hear every sound as if the door was open. The shower was a nice size. We had a view of the mountains, though it overlooked the highway. The location to the Market Square was nice though and covered parking.

Thank you for your time and feedback! I am glad that enjoyed your stay. We are very lucky to have gotten to know the cast and crew of the Hunger Games during the months that they were here filming! They were a wonderful group and we would welcome them back any time!
Your feedback is valuable to us, and many of the things that you mentioned have been addressed. With the opening of our Penthouse Suites, we now have rooms with refrigerators and safes. We will also be adding these amenities to our corner rooms soon. The louvered bathroom doors are in the process of being retrofitted. Although they are stylish, our guests have let us know that they prefer a solid door.
With your help, we can ensure that we are providing our guests with the best service possible. Thank you for staying with us. I hope that you can come back to experience the new suites! I am sure that you will love them!
Thanks,

On the edge of downtown and a short walk to all downtown destinations. Our parking was included and breakfast vouchers permitted us to have a decent breakfast. The hotel style is what I would call art deco with some interesting features. Also, you can earn Priority Pass (?) points, which is the Intercontinental and Holiday Inn (and others) chains. We would stay there again. Note that the hotel is on the relatively busy Haywood street so I would ask for a room on the back side.

Room Tip: See comments above re avoiding the street side of the hotel.

Thank you for your review. Our intention with the décor was to reflect much of the art deco architecture around downtown Asheville. We have guests almost each day who redeem the points that they are receiving by being part of this great rewards program for complimentary nights! Priority Club is the only rewards program that doesn’t ever expire. You retain your points no matter how often you use it. I am glad that you enjoyed your visit, and hope that you will return!

it is hard NOT to write this review! First, this place was extremely easy to get to from our route into town. ... the uniqueness of the decor and layout of the property was quite refreshing from the 'usual' hotel property. Im kind of glad the Radisson was booked, although it was a little cheaper. Only drawback (but it didnt bother me) was the proximity to the interstate and traffic noise, but after spending the nights exploring the city and the day exploring Biltmore, who wouldnt sleep like a baby! It seems the city 'fathers' always have something going on at one of the several venues throughout downtown to make it easy to walk to whatever event you wanted to attend. I had heard on TWC that this is one of the top 4 safest 'weather cities' in the country, as if they need another reason to move there...let alone just visit. the small bar and breakfast are was a nice repite to enjoy in the morning or late night...we even had a 'private concert' from the musicians one night since everyone else was still out on the town! the room was excellent...and unique...especially the king corner room which provided panoramic views of the 'smoky' Smoky Mountains!..enjoy your visit soon!!

Thanks for such an outstanding review! I am pleased that you found your way to our hotel. The traffic noise can sometimes be problematic, however, as you observed, the tradeoff is an excellent and convenient downtown location within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and music venues. It is wonderful that you got to enjoy your “private concert.” We have live music each week by Ben Hovey and Juan Benevides, and are always looking to expand our live entertainment.

Thank you again for your kind review. Please come back and check out our ne Penthouse Suites! If you thought the view from the hotel room was great, then the views from the floor-to-ceiling windows and the terraces are spectacular!

Nice hotel with a good location near downtown - within walking distance of restaurants, etc. There is a very small parking area - both nights when we came back to the hotel, there was no on-site hotel parking available. Very nice big tiled walk-in shower with teak seat and laminate floors in the rooms. TVs are a little small and hard to see if laying down in bed since they are down low. Had a little trouble at the front desk with check-in since reservation was made through a third party. Staff was not that helpful or friendly in resolving the situation, but finally did. Think the hotel was a bit overrated and overpriced - wouldn't pay full price to stay there, but good if you can get a deal.

A perfect "wow" of a place..very slick and spare without being cold or snooty about it. Gorgeous rooms, all-glass "shower only", very good breakfast..and only one block to Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. Lots of good restaurants and people out mingling. I'd go again in a minute!

This was a beautifully decorated hotel. It was very modern but also played off the outdoors aspect of Asheville. Best of all it was in fantastic condition and was incredibly CLEAN! I loved that the rooms were not carpeted! This was one of my most pleasant hotel stays- I didn't want to leave.

Thank you for your kind review of our property! We are as proud of our décor as we are of our staff. Much of our décor is renewed seasonally, and our artwork and furnishings are all by local artisans. The hardwood floors are wonderful for keeping allergens down and add a more natural and welcoming feel to our rooms. I am glad that you enjoyed

Good dog friendly hotel. Helpful staff -- people friendly too! Allowed us sit inside at the cafe with our leashed dog. Location too close to Interstate for noise purposes -- at least for our room on the second floor. But spot was good for walking access to downtown. Hotel stylishly decorated. Large room with expansive bathroom and awesome shower. Also, don't pay extra for the "view." -- expected a high floor but got second floor with view of the entrance drive and the Interstate.

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for the "view."

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. We love our four-legged friends (and their owners!) here at Indigo. Next time you come, be sure to call and ask for a higher floor. We have two pet-friendly floors available. One low floor, and one high. Be sure to touch base with our concierge, Jamie (jbratcher@hlihotels.com) to better assist you with your request!
