The pub crawl started as a social gathering at the supposedly haunted Barley's Taproom w/ FREE beer (a new yummy brew from local brewery Craggie Brewing). After a short intro, we headed out and hit numerous local bars, many of which are off the beaten path (The Vault and Fred's Speakeasy). The focus of the tour was bootlegging and the Nazi influence in Asheville. The tour guides were chock full of local history, you can definitely tell they have done their research. And the presentation is cheeky, energetic, and sometimes, a little randy (although all in all I would say it stays at a PG 13 rating). And, a portion of the tour proceeds were donated to the Asheville Preservation Society. Good times, lots of laughs!!
