Very beautiful hotel.

Great staff.

Left a book in mr room and and Abel Lomeli turned it in and Nancy Caoolway shipped it to me!

Thank you everyone!

The staff was great. The room was nice. The lobby being under construction was a nuisance. But we knew ahead of time that they were renovating.
We had cocktails in the lounge after checking in. There is a narrow bar at the window with great views, but few stools. Service was good, but it's quite expensive and underwhelming as far as ambiance. And it was decidedly cold in there. It was cold outside that day and it still felt like there was an air conditioner blowing cold air in to the lounge.
Back up to our room on the 11th floor.... It was clean, and comfortable. The bed was great. Bathroom was small but had everything we needed and it was super clean.
Breakfast was included in our stay... With that, we thought we would get to order breakfast from the menu. Instead, it was a very small buffet. The food was almost inedible. The eggs were cold (COLD). The sausage and potatoes were room temperature at best. There was one toaster and several people waiting to use it. Overall, a poor excuse for breakfast.
Maybe the downstairs renovations are affecting the level of services throughout the hotel... but even though we expected some disruption in check-in, concierge, etc., we were still quite disappointed. Won't be staying here on our next trip to Asheville.

This has been a difficult review to right due to both good and bad things that we experienced. The hotel has many pluses but a few difficulties but a couple of problems brought down our review. First the positives. The hotel is in a excellent location with plenty of parking. We were able to park and not move our jeep since there was so much to in easy walking distance. The hotel renovations, the lobby area, appear to be complete and well done. We stayed at the hotel during the 1st Asheville tattoo fest and the event was very well handled by the hotel and the staff. We were able to check in before 11:00 and were greeted warmly by Shun and he provided us with some excellent advice. We cannot say enough about the hotel and it's staff.

The negatives we experienced have, I am sure, been addressed. The first issue we had was after a long day at the fest, once again handled great by staff, we left the hotel to get a bite and returned to the room with leftovers. In the morning when we were packing up we noticed a few ants. Upon closer inspection we found the box we had brought back to the room covered with many tiny ants. These were located around the work desk. The second issue was that waking early and the windows covered with condensation we discovered a graphic image had been drawn on the window by a previous occupant. This image could only be seen in certain conditions so we are sure that the staff was totally unaware of its presence. While being amused by this we were glad the kids were not traveling with us. We brought this to the attention of the front desk and once again I am sure it has been addressed. Finally on looking at our statement there was an additional charge for the restaurant. As I mentioned earlier we had went out to eat and had not eaten at the hotel. This issue was taken care of at the desk as the staff went through receipts. and found the error while we waited.

All in all this hotel has many pluses and if we are in Asheville we will consider staying there again. I am confident that the staff will take care of the issues we experienced. If these had not occurred we would have given a higher rating.

We stayed here the last weekend in February. The hotel was very full, as there was next to no parking in the lot. Parking was free though, so that was a plus. There was a lot of construction in the lobby area, but they were working even throughout the weekends to get it done. So it may be finished by now when I write this review.

Our room was on the 10th floor, near the elevators. It was quiet though, we heard no disturbances being so near them. The room was very nice, with a closet, full length mirror, good water pressure, and several power ports for multiple electronic devices. The bed was very comfortable in my opinion.

We did not go to the bar, eat at the restaurant or order room service, so we cannot comment on them.

Best thing about this hotel was it's location. We were able to park one time, and walk everywhere downtown that we needed to go.

We will stay here again on our next visit, if the price is still reasonable.

I Have stayed two times so far and it's a good hotel for the location. Right in the heart of the town. Walking distance to bars and restaurants. Rooms are nice a bit small . First time we stayed there was a fight that broke out from a party down stairs. Free parking.

I was there this week, and the lobby was a construction zone. On one day, the restaurant was closed--or at least I was told it was. However, the room I was in was nicely renovated, and the lobby should be done soon--in the next few days. I think folks will like the look, feel, and location of this property when visiting Asheville.

Frequent Marriott traveler and booked hotel via the Marriott site. Small note on the site stated that the food & beverage area was under renovation and service would be located elsewhere. This translates into the entire lobby being ripped up and tile saws going all through out the day.

Staff was very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Rooms were clean and neat.
