“Funky, fun, great location & amenities”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2014

This was our first time staying at an Aloft hotel and we will seek them out in the future. Loved the design of the rooms and public spaces. Check in was friendly and quick. Max at the front desk was very helpful. He called the room once we arrived to make sure all was well (I love when that happens). We had a room overlooking the city, not the pool and mountains. The hotel is pet-friendly so I'd asked for a pet-free room due to husband's allergies. They told us the manager had personally made sure the room was allergy free. That's good service!

Parking is only $5 which is fantastic and unexpected. The location is excellent for visiting local breweries. shops and restaurants.

The room itself was on the small side but we loved the setup. The bed faces the windows which have desk/shelf areas for storage. One small complaint is that the blinds are noisy and we could hear when our neighbours in the next room opened and closed theirs. We really loved the water carafe and ice bags available in the hall. A great solution that's more environmentally friendly than bottled water.

We used the pool and it is gorgeous with a view of the mountains. There's great seating out there and even fire pits in the evening. We stayed on a Monday night and didn't have any problem with noise at all.

Our rate included 2 free cocktails, and although they were good, the bartender was not very friendly. There was some kind of dance lesson going on in the lobby and the bar was very nice with a pool table and outdoor balcony seating.

Overall we loved this hotel and were sad our trip to Asheville was so short.

We have stayed here before, and will stay here again. The location can't be beat, the service is good, and the overall feel is good. And I love the tiles on the elevator floors. Very nice place. We love Aloft.

This is a hip, modern hotel that is set apart from most of what you find in North Carolina. The location is urban. You just park your car and everything in downtown can easily be reached on foot. Asheville has wonderful restaurants and a laid back vibe that feels west coast. I think this hotel fits that vibe very well. If you are comfortable with modern, this is certainly the place to stay in town. I look forward to coming back.

This hotel is wonderful! It is centrally located in downtown Asheville and you can walk almost anywhere. The staff goes above and beyond. The rooms are perfect and the beds are comfortable. It is dog friendly and parking is only 5.00/day. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants comfort and location.

My husband and I decided to stay at Aloft in Asheville for our Honeymoon when I was on leave from the Army. Getting into the city it was beautiful. Aloft is in the downtown area and we walked just about everywhere (except the Biltmore and to the mall) tons of bars and lots of nice people. Can't wait to go back again!

The Room was absolutely perfect, large shower, lots of storage space, big bed, and we had a city view and it was perfect.

We also had our dog with us and the Dog bathroom on the roof was great. I even went out sometimes in my PJ's to the roof to walk him.

Everyone was so nice there. The employees were so happy to help us find places to drink and eat and even helped us plan where we would eat for our anniversary. It was just a great place. I recommend it to all of my friends.

This hotel has the best location in Asheville. It is new and modern. The rooms are stylish and sexy. This is a mid range hotel, so room service and valet parking are not available. The common spaces are attractive, trendy and welcoming. They are aiming at that 25 to 45 year old demographic. And although I am older I enjoyed my stay. I also liked watching the city from our 4th floor windows. My wife appreciated the fitness center but had two areas of concern. When on vacation she enjoys the luxury of a leisurely tub. Only the luxury suites here have tubs. Also she need a separate hair conditioner because the combined shampoo and conditioners do not work well for her.

When compared to other mid-priced hotel chains this property deserves a strong score and I would be open to staying at their other locations.

We picked this hotel for the downtown location and it couldn't have worked out better. The 5 dollar in and out parking was great, no need to worry about meters or parallel parking :)
We had a room on the 5th floor (503) facing mountains and we had no problems with noise even though the lobby was hopping with the bar and
live music.
I loved the large windows and the bed was comfortable. The shower was a walk in shower with natural light.
We used the provided carafes for the filtered water provided at a station in the hall. Nice of them.
Everyone was nice and very helpful. A small housekeeping issue was quickly and easily resolved with one call.
Can't wait to return!!
