Okay I am obsessed with this place! I can't wait to come back!

This was my first bed and breakfast stay and I loved it!

First off, I am lactose intolerant and their breakfasts prepared for me were all dairy-free and AMAZING. I mean, seriously, AMAZING.

The owner was SO nice and he was always around. We wanted to go for a morning run the day of check out and he let us check out a little later without additional charges which was nice.

The afternoon wine/apps were amazing and a nice little bonus! PLUS all day they have cookies/tea and snacky things!

They are a little less than a mile from downtown so we walked into town every day which was awesome too.

The junior citizens discount helped us saved extra money, which was a huge help.

I cant wait to come back for New years this winter :-)

Room Tip: I had the Battery Park room and loved it! Another guest said their room didn't have any natural...

We stayed during the week. We stayed on the main floor in the S&W room with a beautiful view of the gardens. Sitting on the porch reading the paper and having coffee was just a prelude to breakfast that was served on the porch. What a treat! It was great food and great conversations with other guest. The house was an easy drive from the downtown shopping and dining areas and the staff was eager to give suggestions of places to eat. Coming back for wine in the late afternoon, was a great way to relax after a day of sight seeing and shopping. Be sure to have dinner at Edison's at the Grove Park Inn for a spectacular out door dining view of the sunset over the mountains.

We were attending a wedding in the Ashville area with our friends and chose Hill House due to the ease of working through reservations and working with the owner for some accommodation requests. The accommodations and ambience helped make our weekend first rate. The front porch makes for a lovely breakfast area as well as a great place to relax in the afternoon. The staff was lovely and helpful- accommodating food restrictions as well as helping us learn our way around town. We loved being able to sit in the living room at night with our friends. The house is extremely quiet and lends itself to a relaxing vacation. We would definitely consider staying there again.

Room Tip: Make sure you review the bath/shower set up to know that it is comfortable for you to use. We had t...

We were a party of 3 adults visiting for 2 nights. We stayed in the Battery Park room upstairs, which accommodated 3 people nicely. The Inn staff was great in accommodating our late arrival as well as assisting with an even later arrival of lost luggage. The Inn is a great location for visiting the Biltmore Estate. Good restaurants were easily accessible by our rental car. Each morning they served a beautiful and delicious full breakfast. The Inn itself is a beautifully restored home with lovely gardens, like stepping back in time. We spent an evening enjoying tea and cookies on the front porch, talking with other guests. We were also able to have our morning coffee on the porch.

Room Tip: All rooms I was able to view are very attractively decorated and appear very accommodating.

We arrived Friday evening and we were greeted by David who took us on a tour of the home. My wife really likes homes like this so I new that she would enjoy staying here. The morning breakfast were outstanding along with the early evening wine & cheese. We stayed in the Flat Iron room, which was very nice and comfortable. My wife and I can't wait to this wonderful B&B.

My wife and I frequently visit Asheville and have stayed in many Bed and Breakfasts and hotels. This provided all we could ask for. We stayed in the Flat Iron room. It is up a long flight of stairs. It had a living room and a bedroom. Both were spacious. The bathroom was updated but small. This is an old house that was renovated so we did not expect a modern bath like with new construction. The breakfast was very nice....." german style apple pancakes "....filling and delicious. There is a large front porch that was wonderful for early morning coffee before breakfast. They also have a guest kitchen so you can make tea or put wine or drinks in a refrigerator. Finally , the location is great. Very nice street. Minutes from downtown Asheville.

Room Tip: this is an old house so the second floor is more like the third in a new home.....so , make sure you...

We recently stayed at this lovely Bed & Breakfast. We stayed in Battery Park room and loved having the porch space. Whether visiting on the porch with a glass of wine in the evening to drinking coffee with fellow guests in the morning before the scrumptious breakfast. I highly recommended Hillstreet.
