Stayed here for 5 nights while visiting Asheville. Have a 38' motor home plus tow vehicle.
This campground is very chopped up with sites crammed in everywhere possible. I think the campground gets mixed reviews because the experience can vary depending on what site you're assigned (beautiful view sites up above office), to the very tight lower level, to the worst location... the pull-thrus. We were assigned a lower level site. To get there, you must navigate through the pull through driveway of a private home located at the campground. When we visited, there were cars parked in that driveway and it was VERY TIGHT. Once situated in our site, things were fine. We had very friendly neighbors and enough room to "spread out". Most sites appeared relatively level (although ours was not).
On the plus side... The location is right off the interstate which makes it very convenient. We didn't have any problem with traffic noise. Everything is kept very tidy. The baths are older, but clean and adequate. There was a nice clubhouse (which we didn't use) and a pool that was closed for the season. There was a very good selection of cable television channels. Each site has a picnic table.
The negatives... the wi-fi was slow and intermittent. We travel with our Verizon jetpack and used that instead. We were checked in by a very friendly young gal but found the older "gentleman" in the office to be rude and unhelpful. The price was a little high for the level of amenities, but there isn't much competition and October in Asheville is one of their peak tourist times.
