Owner description: In the heart of downtown Asheville, the Diana Wortham Theatre is an intimate 500-seat theater with exceptional acoustics and sightlines and one of the most active performance spaces in all of western North Carolina. The Diana Wortham Theatre offers live performances of music, theatre, dance, comedy, and circus arts by nationally touring artists, as well as a wide array of performances by professional and avocational regional arts groups. The main entrance is marked by the theatre's marquee on Biltmore Ave. between Marble Slab Creamery and White Duck Taco. Patrons enter the theatre through the breezeway and into a large interior courtyard with multiple glass doors into the theatre's lower lobby and box office.

We had a wonderful visit to the Theatre to see the Asheville Lyric Opera's production of "Carousel". It was fantastic. The theatre is extremely well done, just a little hard to find for any newcomers. We happened to enter off Pack Place and you actually enter through the Art Museum. There is also an entrance off of Biltmore Avenue. Be sure to go early as parking can be a challenge. The parking lot adjacent to the theatre was full when we arrived. Luckily we knew there was another lot close by. The theatre offers a variety of shows and activities. Be sure to check their calendar when visiting Asheville.

Terpiscorps Dance use DWT as their venue. This is an excellent space for performances. Also, I have been to theater and music productions in this space. Some renovating is happening on main floor.

Got to see one of my favorite artist Dougie MacLean from Scotland here a couple of weeks ago. The theatre is small only about 500 seats but perfect for an intimate evening with good entertainment. Very nicely decorated and not a bad seat in the house. Concessions with wine, beer (including the locally brewed Highland Gaelic Ale that is amazing), water and snacks. Easy to find and good parking is right next door. Can't wait to come back and see more great performances in this theatre!

I came in from out of town to visit a family member in Asheville and had a chance to see River North Dance Chicago at this theater. What a wonderful evening. The show was excellent--really exciting dance group. The theater was comfortable, we had great seats, and everyone we interacted with from the staff there was friendly and helpful. I recommend checking out the shows there as part of your Asheville trip.
