Dined here for the first time on a busy Friday night. We made reservations two days in advance which I recommend. Awesome atmosphere, cool bar, dimly lit and super cozy. Ask for one of the pillowed, comfy booths. We had a selection of olives, Spanish cheeses, pork belly, beef heart, and lamb. Our favorite tapas were the beef heart and pork belly.
Insane wine list, live music, amazing atmosphere, great food makes Zambra's a must stop in Asheville! Will definitely be back. Loved this place

Just finishing eating here. Loved it!! There were so many different things to try. I really liked everything that that I tried. The drinks were great too. Something for everyone…..TONS of wine to choose from. Good beers and some fun cocktails. The staff was just ok. They were all very nice but took a while at some points for someone to come back to the table and that was a little bummer. The atmosphere is so cool. It looks nothing like every other restaurant. Very cozy feeling. We will go back.

Zambra is a favorite restaurant we like to enjoy again and again. We usually start with the served warm Pan Rustico, crunchy in the outside, soft in the inside, followed by fried sweet potatoes , covered with a delicious exotic sauce, and then, we start exploring new dishes from the daily menu. we order one or two at the time and it is a joy to see them coming, one by one, each a new discovery and a treat for the palate and the senses. We simply keep ordering until we start feeling near full. The cozy atmosphere, pleasing to the eye plays a great part in the whole experience. The staff has been delightful.

Food was fabulous and our server Erik was super. Great dark mysterious cavern on an out of the way alley. Just the way I like it!

My friends and I ate there Saturday, October 26, 2013. The food was OK - not anywhere as good as I'd expected. Dishes that were supposed to be hot were mostly lukewarm. There seemed to be a distinct lack of seasoning (salt & pepper), particularly on meat dishes like the flank steak and beef tenderloin ordered at our table. The server was inattentive, and a bit on the rude side. At the end of our meal, one of our party remarked that he was "full" and the server commented "well, you should be, you all ordered enough food" in a sarcastic tone that we didn't appreciate. I hear there is another Tapas place in Asheville. Perhaps we'll try it next time.
