A friend told me to eat here, that it was "her favorite in the whole world". Now I see why...service was great, food was amazing, and great atmosphere. Unfortunately it's a smaller restaurant which means you have to wait, but it's definitely worth it!

Having returned from our 3 week road trip in the USA I need to write about how great Salsas is! The food was delicious and atmosphere fun and laid back. It was a real twist on Mexican fusion food and quite literally our waiters arms!

Fantastic little find in downtown. The staff was great. Our waiter was actually excited to talk about the menu and all the different dishes. We had a couple of dishes and they were fantastic. It was so good we didn't even want to speak so as not to miss a tasty bite.

All the other tables were raving about their dishes as well.

A+++. All the way.

Food was awesome and fresh. Awesome idea to mix Caribbean and Mexican food. Beer selection was great with lots of local breweries.

If you think you've already had every kind of Mexican dish/flavor out there, try this place. The large variety of dishes/flavors to choose from was new & exciting for those of us who are a bit more adventurous, although there were plenty of recognizable dishes for the picky eaters in our party of 8 too!

We started with a plate of fried plantains that were good, not great, & guacamole that was fresh, delicious, & homemade. The kids chose burritos & pork empanadas which they were allowed to customize to their liking. The grandparents thoroughly enjoyed a variety of salmon, shrimp, & steak molcajetes in bubbling hot lava rock bowls. These can be quite spicy, but are full of both meat & roasted veggies in a stew like presentation with the meat on top of the bowl. Two of us tried the Cuban Pork Plato from the special green menus with rice, beans, & more plantains for sides. We were not disappointed with the familiar Mexican pork flavors, but what made the meal exciting was the Caribbean sauces & salsas that added just the right contrasting burst of flavor! I have to say their rice is probably the best I've ever had being moist, but not sticky, & extremely well seasoned.

We really only interacted with one waiter during our visit (tall, blonde, male-sorry I don't remember his name). He was friendly, knowledgeable, extremely helpful, & never left us waiting for anything & he did it all without being intrusive. Everyone agreed the menu pricing was extremely reasonable for the quality & quantity of food we received with most being in the $10-15 range. This low key atmosphere serves up some great deals on high quality dining.
